I was thinking on porting the China Lake Grenade Launcher next after the M14. I have an idea that I want to try out. I'm gonna try to give it shotgun anims, then add it as a grenade launcher. I'm not sure if it will work if I do that though.
I'll have to take a look at the M60 and see if the first person model is intact, if not, then'll I'll have to use the world model, which is lower quality.
Anyway, I'd like to see the Dragunov get in, as well as the Stoner 63, but it would be cool if the Stoner could either be used by Grenadiers and rifle using classes, or was a rifle with a mix of AR and cannon stats that confered Suppression.
With the Skorpion + the M14 you're planning on doing it'd be nice to have the right kind of firing animation. Nigel Thornberry's Reach DMR has a 3x single shot pattern that would fit the M14 well, and the Skorpion would be good with an automatic firing burst.
The LAW/RPG-7 would be cool Grenade Launcher cosmetic replacements, too.
I'm sure that I can do the MP5 and the Skorpion, since the first person models are intact (in BLOPS, both sides are rendered since you can dual wield it). The RPG / LAW might have some issues, since the first person model has a lot of holes in it (optimization, of course).
I'm not sure if I'm gonna make the M14 a three-burst weapon, since it is designed as a semi-automatic weapon. I've heard that it can do automatic, but the recoil was really unbearable.
The AUG and the FAMAS are mostly intact, so I'll do those. I haven't checked the AK-47, but it is on the list.
AUG and FAMAS are great rifles so I'm looking forward to them. and I'm glad you're looking into making custom sounds - not enough XCOM 2 weapons have new sounds and these rifles all have their own iconic noises that would go great.
Ripping sounds from BLOPS is not a problem. I have several extractors that lets me get the sounds for each weapon.
Another note, I'll ask Nigel how he did the DMR.
The Galil is in Blops, actually. I would love to do the FAL, but the First person model is missing a lot of faces (most of the weapon isn't visible in first person, that's why). The G11 is on my todo list.
The G3 isn't in blops, sadly.
