Say you have a massive base and they have got past all your other defences.
The only thing left is your safe room
If that is breached then why not go all out - and destroy everything within a certain radius :)
@Tomhud - Mate.... Mate... Keep them coming, I love it. That is getting added to the list of to-dos, for sure. Have to however consider a concept that isn't too OP, and that would be a pest to build away from the base - as to avoid extreme griefing
- Water and food could be poisonous, including feces, wich can be used as a stronger type of suicide or to fertilize and thereby poison the crops (either kills the crops or produces poison crops) They won't do anything and wil not look any different, but they will damage the consumer. Could be really usefull if you'd need to trap your chest from looters. Since they do however look the same, you are probably going to need a system, like: never eat the stacks that are 15 foodunits big, bacause I've poisoned them.
-Since all tamed animals with saddles have a rope going to their heads I came up with a rather evil trap. What if you would place a dynamite pack under the saddle wich detonates when you pull the nearly invisible string wich is connected to the mounts leash. The explosive will instantly kill you and deal massive damage to your mount. Nothing will happen untill the moment you start walking, wich you should definetly avoid as soon as you see the warning notification (to make it less OP, but no-one really looks at them anyways since we already know it's too warm, or cold, or poisonous)
- Trapped chests like in the elder scrolls.
-If you cold find a molecule formula that starts to burn as soon as it comes in contact with oxigen and only needs a heat of below the regular temperature of the island, you could use this to turn into food pills to give them to the animals. as soon as they poo, there is an epic explosion! This explosive diahria is especially unpleasent when someone is setting up a farm, since their poop producers only start working after they've eaten, so you can basically empty them and give them the pill to watch the chaos unfold as the owner gets back.
-There are couldrons with lava in this mod, but what if you could hang them on the roof and turn them around with the pull of a string to engulge anyone or anything beneath.
-A recepi to turn regular ground into quicksand.
-Leashes and metal chains so you can use tamed and untamed animals as quard dogs.
-Ropes to tie a aviary animal to the gound. These rather small and hard to see ropes are really neat as they stop a bird from going any further, throwing of anyone on top forward. You can set up this trap at the edge of a ravine. as soon as someone hops on they are eager to fly away, having them plunge to their death at the end of the line.
-Tide turners (I thought it sounded awesome) to put in the water. It are giant underwater vans that suck or blow away anyone in range, right into some other traps, or sucking them into the van chopping them and their mounts to tiny sushi pieces.
With these traps you can build a entire decoy village. It looks normal to the eye, but as soon as you steal the mount's or the foods and drinks or touch anything you'r a dead-man.
other ideas you could add a presure plate triggred poison dart deffence that you would have make ammo ammo for the ammo would cost something like 2 stone arrows poop and narcotics to make
a gas room. say you have a 4 way corridor in your base the walls drop down after you trigger the trap and fills the room with sleeping gas ~ or poison gas filling and trapping the people that triggerd it.
@Tokken : The Stone Arrow / Dart walls was something i was just thinking about today to be honest with you. Like a Tomb Raider feel with the traps. Defintely will be a future addition - also keep your eyes out for some dino traps for sure.
Love the sound of a Gas Room, yes this will be on the list too. Nice idea!
I have however made Team Only activated revolving walls (will be adding ceilings later too) to allow for covert team detours through the base. So it's kind of the same thing, but not.
