Freight airports
Lines not moving freight to freight airport
I have muultiple lines running off of one train station, and a couple of them go to a freight airport. These lines are not getting any freight to speak of. I have it connected to a small freight airport with a fleet of freight boeings, flying to a medium freight airport connected to a truck depot which disperses to a city...any idea on why it might not be getting freight when all the other rail lines are?

Compared to a railway, the planes take much lesser cargo. The flow to the production becomes slow due to this. Add more planes to see if the production goes up.

Both airports are medium freight air ports. Both are connected and within catchment areas of their respective fuel supplier and demander. There is demand as when I hooked up said line production IMMEDIATELY boosted by almost 50 units. I thought it might be a depot that was in the catchment zone but that wasn't the culprit.

Can you zip your gamesave and put it in the cloud somewhere so I can have a look at it?

It's hit and miss for me, I had it pumping out some construction materials for 3 of the smallest planes, it did 3 trips and then stopped producing, i'm gonna scrap my savegame and start over as upgrading to large airports was a mess due to mountain ranges haha. I'll see if I get it smoother this time arounnd

running 16 Junkers versus about 15 Douglas' I was able to make some freight hit the airport line. I ran the douglas' for about 10 years before switching to the junkers. The junkers started generating a small amount of cargo within a few months

If the airport is far away, then consider building a truck line to transfer the goods to the airport, and then connect the airport to the other.

i'm kinda on the same boat as CanadianGamer, I have one airport that works wonderfully except for the third terminal jjust not loading anything to it and my second airport for fuel just never gets freight, the refinery next to it never registers that it is connected to a line

You probably took the wrong aircraft. Only the Boeing 757-200F can carry oils and fuels.

I made sure to select the 757, and set it to only carry fuel, this issue was happening at my main airport too with my goods factory just not delivering even though i set up the proper route to deliver them to their final destinations

? Now that's probably a glitch or something.......

I don't know if this would affect it or not but my start airport and end airport are on far sides of the map, but distance really shouldn't make it not work, right?

I am not a mod maker, so I don't know....... but probably, yes. I put freighter planes on a farm line from a Houston farm, and I directly built an airport and connected it next to the farm. I put an airport near a food processing plant, and then I built an airport in Anchorage. The line, well, lines, are working perfectly.
