Metro Overhaul Mod (MOM)
All problem with MOM mod after Sunset Harbor patch.
MOM is the second greatest mods ever and I hope that these bugs below will be fixed
Edit: I never know this Discussion will blow up this quickly, glad everyone using my post to report bug, I'm so happy :). But to actually help Dev to fix bug, you may want to send them the detail after report it here so other will know they're not alone.
Here's a word from the Dev, remember to send them email with log so they could fix it, cause unlike us, they do know what to do with bug log.

PPS: The output_log can probably be found in Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data\ but this may vary from user to user.
Also if anyone have "array index out of range", please email Dev with your output_log as this bug is so general I'm not skilled enough to help you guy so you should send it to Dev.
Time line: Since the patch of MOM v10.0
  1. Subway Station Options pannel appeared when I open a tab that has nothing related to Metro. " Every single tab trigged MOM Subway Station Options panel "
  2. Before: the Subway Station Options panel disappear when I turn off the tab. (The save game: nice)
  3. But now: It's just hang around and block my view (First played the same save named "nice" that hasn't been changed at all. It's the same game).
  4. Metro have 0 income when use with MOM. Income went back to normal when remove MOM.
  5. Sunken rails turn into tunnel at lower height than the terrain. Probably because using move it to lower the rails doesn't actually change the terrain, making it go back when loading.
  6. Tunnel doesn't sync with the metro lines, making the lines invisible.
  7. Sunken station become underground station. The underground station become sunken? Causing weird glitch rip seeing the void.
  8. Underground Dual-island station bug: Make entrance track glitch and appear as above ground. Remove the station and the track remain can't be remove, causing
    System.NullReferenceException
    error.
Time line: Since the patch of MOM v10.0.1
  1. Metro train run on the tunnel instead of inside the tunnel. Making the Metro line invisible at it's out side the tunnel. here
  2. Game crash when you select Hubs that have Metro Station, the slide is broken making it get all the way to the left. When you adjust it, MOM break the game.
  3. Problem with Classical rails: People placing Classical rail only for it to appear as Modern style.
  4. No Cims use Elevated Sunset Harbor metro station, though they can still use the above ground and elevated one normally. Cims also seem to go up then immediately go down instead of wating at the platform, rebuild the station doesn't help. Happen to all 3 station that were build in 3 different time. Fixed by using Workshop elevated station.
    Cause: Unkown
  5. Issue with Dual Island station
    • Invalid shape when building underground station.
    • Can't add stop to outer platform in above ground/elevated station.

  9. Track shifting 12m downward from original height each reload.

      This issue appears intermittently. Sometimes pillars change, but sometimes not. And also terrain breaks near the track somtimes. (Unfortunately this issue appeared before, so I don't have it's screenshot.) I have no idea what causes this issue.
    • Pillar UI doesn't saved the last type you choose. Example if you want Single Pillar, but each time you open the UI, the game move back to Double Pillar instead.
    • Pillar type change back to the default one when using Move it to move a node.
      Example: Moving a node with a single pole Pillar, making it to change to Double pole Pillar. This is quite annoy when you want to keep the single pole Pillar one.
      This doesn't cause any major game breaking, so could put this inconvenience in lower priority.

  4. Pillar default selector is faulty. When choosing Dual Metro Track, it's pillar show Wide Pillar when it actually use Narrow Pillar.
    Same go for Single Metro Track show Pillar Selector as Narrow Pillar when it actually use Narrow Median Pillar.
    Same go for Quad Metro Track say it use Wide Median Pillar when it actually use just Wide Pillar
    Conclusion: Pillar Selector shiftting the UI to the right by one. Making it appear to use the wrong Pillar.
    Also Pillar doesn't save when selected forces player to choose pillar every single time. Also when you move or change the track, the pillar went back to the default one.
  5. Citizen only use the closest platform near the exit despite having both stop at 2 platform.

The first thing that comes to mind for me is that there are no "close window" icons (x in the circle in the upper right hand corner) on most of the panels in MOM. Usually they just close on their own when the function is ended and another function is selected. But since this is being triggered with functions completely unrelated to MOM, perhaps the devs should consider adding the "close window" to the MOM options panels, so that if they (the panels) open accidentally, then the player could manually close them rather than having to restart the entire game. Just a thought.

After 5 hours. I click on the "Subway Station Track Layout" out of of curious and it close :') Atleast if anyone got that problem they will now know how to fix it.

I am having the same problems. Cannot see metro lines in tunnel. It has been suggested if you hold down page down key you can see it. That has not worked for me. Also the VERY large subway station options panel pops up and I cant close it, but I can move it. Please help. P.S. Love the Mod !!!

I cant longer see my metro lines in tunnel , they just disappeared with all the stations too.
Also I got a NullPointerException after trying to build a metro Station again. Now I got that error every 5 sec without option to play the game. I tried to delete the station too, didnt work
Same to me. But I realised it happens when moving buildings, sometimes the options panel disappears, but when it doesn't I can't save my game, because if I do my game crashes.

Temporary Solution:
For the Subway panel. You need to minimize the times you move building. Somehow MOM mistake moving building at sub-station.

You won't be able to remove the panel when moving the building. If you guy still can't remove the panel then try to to click and change everything on it. May worked :v.

If you notice, the Vanilla Metro only allow us to pagedown 12m and not more. It may seem that they have seen the problem with lines. I suggest you should build on ground or beolow ground 12m max. Try Transport Line Rendering Fix . If bugs is minus (- ) then two bugs= - x - = + ?
For now we should unsubscribe Metro Overhaul (and dislike? (I'm frustrated right now)

About that station window glitch @Lazarus*Man, I got some other way to enforce it appearing out of nowhere:

1. select a plopable building (it doesn't matter which one! - grab a power station, a bus terminal or whatever which is not a metro or subway station) which is already build.

2. click the relocate button.

3. The station customization window will appear.

4. Plop the building

5. The window now is persistent

5a. Press ESC - the window will still be there. Press ESC a second time and you got a crash to desktop (I don't exactly know if that belongs to the MOM...)

Other issues:

Compatibility issues with Railway Replacer mod. Installing and activating this one will break all overground metro stations - already plopped ones and the ones you select from the menu.

If you try to convert a train station to metro the station converter UI will disappear and there will be nothing to plop down (placing tool closes).

Pre-Sunset Harbor issue.
If you got a pre-Sunset Harbor save using MOM 9.0 which uses subway portions and stations you'll find those shifted down by 12m.

So if you have had stations sitting at -12m they will now be at -24m. Same applies to the tracks - if you have build tracks at -12m those are shifted -12m too. Unfortunately transitions between ground level and underground are now extremely steep due to this.

Ofc you can fix that by using Move It, but on large networks on a large city it would be a pain to do so ;)

Node issue.
If you drag a 4-track classic metro network through street in ground mode to create a grade crossing, you'll see that the node gets a switch between all 4 tracks.

On other nodes on the classic version in front of tunnels look like they got the vanilla metro base-mesh. That is just an visual issue.

So if there is some kind of problem thread I will use it. Maybe someone also has this problem. Metro has 0 income with mod. I made a new city to check. I forced people to use metro as the only mean of transport between commercial and residential and people are using it, trains take people and move them but income stays at zero. I have unsubbed, checked the old save and also made a new city without MOM and income came back. I subbed again and income is gone again. Ticket price mod also doesn't affect it. I don't know what's the problem. I have no idea at all.

As you can see people are in, income is zero. Anything else works.

I am having a different problem ever since installing the latest updates. When I load the game, certain sections of my metro lines are destroyed. This problem seems to be occurring in specific areas. I had previously built sunken sections of track that are not tunnels, but run below street level. At certain points these tracks transition into tunnels and go underground. This seems to be mostly where the new problem is occurring. These sections of tracks are now interrupted by pieces of earth near the tunnel entrances that weren't there before. Also, the grades of the tracks going into the tunnels are suddenly much steeper than they were when I designed them. If I demolish and rebuild these sections of tracks, I'm still left with some strange glitch where the trains are going airborne as if there's an invisible piece of the ground sticking up into the air. I'm not getting any error messages about the mod.

OK. I solved the issue. I was not able to choose a train and default train was acting like cargo. It didn't have capacity, it had load. I installed another metro train which enabled me to also choose an m100 and it works now.

Did you make the tracks sunken using move it or did you dig the canals for them? If you lowered them with move it the terrain never really changed and when mod got updated and everything kind of replaced itself it might have gotten messed up. That's the only thing I can add.

Question, is this ever gonna be fixed.

I get errors for placing an underground station which its mod.

Also menu gets stuck for mine too.
