You begin the game with one on each of your Sourcehunters, and more can purchased at level 5 or later from "Shereth," an NPC in the upstairs rooms of the King Crab Inn.
I started the game and got to maybe level 5 on Tactician and felt like it was a kinda easy. Then I stumbled upon Epic Encounters and isntalled it and continued my existing save. Now I am on level 15 and wanted to respec. After digging and digging about the respec, I notice the bold print saying a new game must be started. I am frustrated with myself and feel like a complete moron. I should know this kind of thing. :P
I know this is a loaded question but if I did not start a new game, what would work and not work? Any rough idea?
The game definetly seemd to get a bit harder after installing Epic Encounters so some parts of it must function off a non-new save.
I kinda want to keep playing my save anyway because my game time is rare these days and I just spent a huge chunk of my holiday break playing (and loving) the game.
- Stat changes on enemies that weren't loaded when the mod was installed would be present, but no monster scaling will occur.
- Your spells will seem changed, but some of their more elaborate features won't work.
- The new endgame content won't be accessible.
- AI won't be changed (probably).
- Boss behavior won't be changed.
- I think you'll see new properties on items, but some of them won't work.
- Artifact uniques might still drop, but some of their properties won't work (and upgrading them won't work at all).
- Probably more, but that's what I can think of off-the-cuff.
As a long time RPG veteran, I always appreciate a mod that improves balance and increases difficulty. This not only does that but adds much more depth to the game. Thank you!
