I'm not using contaminated water. My latrine is not even sitting on ground water. You should be able to set a bill to boil water, thereby eliminating any risk of water borne disease.

Just stop contaminating their water. You say you aren't, but you clearly are, otherwise their water wouldn't be contaminated!

To fix a contaminated water tower first solve the source of contamination, then press the drain button on the tower to empty it. Or you can research and build a water treatment system which can clean all contaminated water and water towers. Water towers become contaminated if any connected well has a source of pollution within its area. If enough sources of pollution are detected that it can cause contamination of a water tower then an alert message should appear explaining exactly what is causing the pollution. Sources of pollution include sewage, dead bodies, deep drills, graves, burn pits, ash, poison ships, oil spills from Rimefeller, toxic fallout, and anything else that modders have patched into the pollution types def in bad hygiene.

The contaminated water is coming from a WELL. That well IS NOT even connected to the same body of ground water as the latrine and they are still getting sick. We need an option to BOIL water over a camp fire/stove until we get water treatment. All the groundwater in the game carries the "untreated- small disease risk" tag until you get water purification.

the chance for getting sick is extremely low, in countless hours of running a test colony i dont remember the last time i got any sick pawns running on the default contamination setting, if you don't like the small risk of drinking from untreated water sources then you can change the contamination chance to an easier setting, but making it so regular players can completely avoid any disease by doing a simple bill would be like adding a recipe that can eliminate the chance that any pawns get flu or gut worms, or like adding a slightly longer version of cooking recipes that prevent pawns ever getting food poisoning, kinda defeats the point of the game of Rimworld. There's also all the extra complication of people thinking they are forced to boil every drop of water they want to use to avoid the risk even if it is tiny, and the extra cpu overhead from extra job drivers and the complication of extra stockpile filters and all the other stuff an extra step would require, people would complain about all the extra time required to boil every bottle of water before it can be drunk, and also they would want more settings so they can disable such a feature because they don't care about boiling water or they simple don't want the feature to exist and are happy with the way it was, it couldn't be a bill because all the water bottles are in inventories so i would need to make it some kind of automatic step where they always boil the water first, which would require some extra ui somewhere to toggle it on and off for every pawn, because there's people that wouldn't want to waste the time, basically its not as simple as just adding boiling water
