Dubs Bad Hygiene

Bladder and Hygiene work type?
I have a colony with a solid "locker room/public bathroom" (3 toilet stalls, 4 communal showers, 3 sinks) all hooked up and always available for use. No shortage of water. However, all of my colonists seem to get their needs bars to absolute zero, continue to work, and risk soiling themselves or fester in their own stink (they used to be in top of it themselves no problem a short while earlier in the playthrough).

Are hygiene needs chosen by work type, like "basic", or are they also limited by schedule, like recreation or "anything"? Definitely seems like an FAQ type of thing for future reference.

I've just noticed im having a very similar issue, I'm not sure whats going on but all of my colonists have been refusing to shower or use the restroom. I know theres no issues because I can manually force them to do it and it works fine. They just don't on their own

I have the exact same issue. Worked still fine this morning and now no one even bothers washing themselves or going on the toilet. Perhaps some mod update causes some conflicts now?

Thats what I'm thinking might be the case? i tried turning basic all the way to top priority for all colonists but that hasn't worked. I felt like the hygiene was treated the same way as like hunger where they would just do it as needed unless being forced to do something else. I'll try restarting the game to see if that works.

Just ballparking, but this issue could definitely be avoided and future proofed if this mod added a new "hygiene" work type. Set that priority to 1, and you'll never have to worry about it again.

But thats up to Dubs

update: restarting has not worked. Not sure where to go from here. must be a bug on their end

ok someone found a work around. if you're using common sense mod do this:

For the issue with Common Sense, at least until it gets fixed - go to Common Sense options and disable "Pawns are encouraged to fulfill secondary needs during joy assignment, or if woken early"
