Playable Aliens (LW2 Compatible)

Need help getting this mod to work.
So I reinstalled the mod (not this one, but the other one) and it would crash my game upon startup. So I thought to try playing LW2 to see if I could get this mod to work, but I'm having the same problem and I was wondering (Since I'm planning on uninstalling the LW2 mod because I can only play two or three missions before I have to quit the game and restart it.) if there has been anyone able to get the mod to work and what had to be changed to do so.

If you're experiencing crashing, delete the config file C:\Users\YOURNAMEHERE\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini, then try again. Worst case scenario, you can rename the entire config folder that the file was contained in and try again, but keep in mind this may reset your character pool. Make sure to UNSUBSCRIBE from the old PA file if you want to use this version.

Yeah I managed to get the version to work by deleting the Xcom Engine INI and I've been playing for the whole last month with the mod installed. I might take a break so I don't burn out and can play the new Xpac when it comes out. I don't think this mod will be updated to include the new aliens (or rather new alien and the Lost) but still looking forward to fighting off the Chosen with Mutons and MECs on my side.

Cool, figured I'd double check to see how you were holding up... and no need to put new aliens off the table; added the Rulers in, didn't we?

Oh dang. I can't imagine the alien rulers, but since i can't play LW2 (The constant crashes were a bit much for me) I guess I won't be able to see that feature in or the new Aliens, but still keep up the good work.

Oh dang. I can't imagine the alien rulers, but since i can't play LW2 (The constant crashes were a bit much for me) I guess I won't be able to see that feature in or the new Aliens, but still keep up the good work.

Duuuuuuuuude? This version of the mod is Long War 2 COMPATIBLE. Doesn't mean you need it to play! You can still have access to all the new stuff provided by this version over the old one. Just thought I'd make sure you knew.

oh I know I don't need this mod to get LW2 to work. I stopped using LW2 when it kept crashing every 2-3 missions since i couldn't get immersed in my game when that happened.

I meant the other way around. You can use this version of the mod on a vanilla game. It comes with some bugfixes and some new stuff, so if you're still using the old one you should probably unsubscribe and download this.

Oh I thought because it was LW2 compatible it wasn't able to work on non LW2 games. I might just do that thank you for the suggestion.

ok, but what if we cant find it.

Do the alien models only show up as you're playing the game/in the campaign? when I was trying to test if it was working by creating an alien before starting a campaign all selecting alien classes does is make my default soldier's gun disappear, but nothing else.
