I'm not having too much of a problem with storage, it's mostly an issue of the AI not using the storage properly. I'll have a barn nearly full, with things like leather and coats in it, but then my dry goods storage just one house over is nearly empty. I just want to find a way to fix issues like that, unless the solution is to just not even give them the option to put the stuff anywhere else.
Just don't have only a dist.barn and a market in a small town. I did that once and the barn worker kept overstocking the market, then the market vendor would take the over stock back to the barn in an endless dance. These barns seem to be better when they are farther away from your city center and primary storage
