TL;DR:
I need
  • Button texts: Press, Abort, Hold, Detonate
  • Morse: 16 words (~5-6 characters)
  • "Tx" button label (Tx stands for "Transmit")
  • Needy vent gas: "VENT GAS? Y/N", "YES", "NO", "VENTING PREVENTS EXPLOSIONS", "VENTING COMPLETE", "DETONATE? Y/N"
  • Who's on first
    • 28 Display texts (max ~7 characters)
    • 28 Button labels (max ~7 characters; you can reuse some display list words)
  • 35 Passwords (5 characters) and "SUBMIT" button label (max ~7 characters)
  • Manual text: "Make sure there is a bar code decal on the module labeled ‘XXX’, otherwise this is not the correct manual."
All of them ideally include homophones and words that can be misunderstood as instructions.
There are no limitations regarding accented/umlaut/cyrillic characters. Really. Not even for morse or passwords.

In Detail:
I'm searching for people who like to contribute translations in their language.
So if you like, create a new thread for your language and post a suggestion or comment on suggestions already posted for your language.

BUTTON TEXTS
Press, Abort, Hold, Detonate

16 MORSE CODE WORDS
  • About 5 or 6 letters.
  • In the vanilla game, many of them are quite similar, e.g. 5 of 16 start with s, 6 start with b, rest spreads among other letters.
  • Another trick hidden in the vanilla list is, that many words contain the same letter sequences (like slick & trick). These sequences can occur at different positions within the words and especially can even run "around the corner" (that is its becoming the same sequence as in another word, by repeating the same word after its finished), like strobe & bistro, shell & halls. So if you like, maybe you can also find one or two pairs that imitate this trick in your language.
  • Yet another trick in the vanilla game is to use words, which might have quite different letters, but still result in a similar Morse code. Because V (...-) is similar to ST(... -), vector, steak and sting start with similar signals, which only differ in where the pauses are.
  • There are Morse code conventions, which include accented and Cyrillic characters, so no need to avoid them.
There are also Asian Morse code tables, but these do have a limited character set, e.g. the Japansese table for Katakana.
  • If you like to, use words around the bomb and defuse topic (timer, wires, panic...) - but no need to push it. Finding interesting words is hard enough without reducing the vocabulary to a specific topic.
  • Optionally you can also provide a replacement for the TX button label.

NEEDY VENT GAS TEXTS
  • VENT GAS? Y/N
  • YES, NO
  • VENTING PREVENTS EXPLOSIONS
  • VENTING COMPLETE
  • DETONATE? Y/N

WHO'S ON FIRST
I need a set of at least 28 words in your language (the vanilla module has 28 display texts and 28 button labels, with an overlap of 11 words which are in both sets).

Some translation hints:
  • Searching for "Homophones <your language>" in Google can give you some nice ideas for identical pronounced words.
  • For Latin letters translations, words in both sets should not be longer than about 7 to 8 characters (for Asian letters, other rules apply)
  • Of course the main reason to translate this is to also include these kind of words, that you would naturally say when you play this module, so find words or very(!) short phrases, that you would use in your language. The vanilla module gives a good idea which this can be ("Hold on", "Okay", "Says", "Left"), but personally I belief it might be possible to find even better ones for some cases, which are even more likely to produce misunderstanding. E.g. "It says", "Top left", "Push!"...

PASSWORDS
I need a list of 35 words with exactly five characters each in your language, sorted by that languages alphabetical order and a translation of "Submit" (max ~7 characters).
For the German translation I included some of the instruction words like "drück" (press) and "warte" (wait) and some 5 character homophones. The rest is filled with topically fitting words like "Bombe" (bomb), "Draht" (wire), "Angst" (fear), and so on. There are no attempts to produce misunderstandings in the vanilla module, so I leave it to you if you translate it my way or keep it like the vanilla module, with 35 "usual" words.

Version hint
For the manual I need a translation of the following phrase:
"Make sure there is a bar code decal on the module labeled ‘XXX’, otherwise this is not the correct manual."
(The XXX will be replaced by the language ID and the version number of the module)

Italian translation:

Needy Vent Gas:

VENT GAS? Y/N – Sfogare Gas? S/N
YES, NO – SÌ, NO
VENTING PREVENTS EXPLOSIONS – Lo sfogo evita le esplosioni
VENTING COMPLETE – Sfogo completato
DETONATE? Y/N – Detonare? S/N

Buttons:
Press – Premi
Abort – Annulla
Hold – Tieni Premuto (if it's too long, use "Schiaccia" - unfortunately it's not the exact translation of Hold, but it's a fine word for a botton in italian)
Detonate – Detona

Morse Code: These are the firsts that came to my mind, but surely there's room for improvements, but I hope you like them :D

I forgot to ask for a label for the TX button on the Morse module... Would "INVIO" be suitable? Or some translation of "Transmit"? Or would TX be a good fit already?
