I captured both nearby enemy bases with a grinder, a welder, one oxygen bottle, two hydrogen bottles, enough components to make a passenger seat, and one drill. The enemy bases have no underground protection. You can fix that issue by creating an open spot beneath the base that is guarded by turrets.

I don't think you can defend against this, you can always drill up through the ground contact point. Unless its too narrow, in which case you can still saw its legs off until, you have a ground level facility again ;-)

Using Projectors it is possible to obtain any available block from the beginning.
I suggest to deactivate them for this scenario, too.
Maybe hide something like the oxygen farm PC somewhere to get the projector BP?

Thanks I passed it on to the Keen forums and put a note in my trello list to turn projectors off.

Am I the only one who had way too many issues trying to get past the giant robot in the secret weapon facility?

You can build a small grid with a gatling in the door and shoot it. A bit cheesy I know, but it was funny watching it trying to shoot me without any arms ;-)

I have managed to find a nother way of getting anyblock in at the start. It is achived by going into a ships cockpit and switching to bulding mode. Not sure if u can disable the bp in the Ships Bulding mode. (and I love Escape from mars)

The Robot is tricky, i got somewhat lucky and the middle block at the door got a bit damaged and it opened up a line of sight so i could pick at it with my rifle until the top part detonated, i tried to shoot the arms off first but hitting anything at that range is pure RNG so i went for the head, not sure if there was a warhead inside but it made a big boom and it fell apart

Might Find a way to disable building medbays from the start, make use of all the Medical points as fixed respawns. (Maybe add a big hospital somewhere to obtain the BP?)

I got too much uranium by grinding the spotlights in tunnels.
The landmines in the secret weapon facility have too limited range. I can grind the sensor before triggering it. Even after triggering the sensor, there will be a delay that I can escape from the explosion.
