With the original Grimy's Loot Mod, I was getting a TON of lockboxes, but with this Mod, I haven't had a single one drop.
I'll need you to describe your issue more thoroughly. Spark rifles and bolt casters are gimped in the LW2 config as far as how many upgrade slots they have, but the ones that roll from the boxes have more slots (and should retain these slots).
Drop percentage from ADVENT loot carriers is 10% - it's 20% from alien loot carriers. There can be up to 5 loot carriers in a mission. The boxes scale based on early, mid, late enemies and can drop 1 or 2 boxes, if they drop 2, it's a lower tier. Individual upgrades drop much more frequently.
If you know you are killing at least, say, 100 loot carriers (using additional icons or the like) and aren't getting any lockbox drops, the numbers are big enough that you probably aren't getting screwed by RNG (though this is still very possible) and there's likely a problem in your loot table configuration. Most commonly, you have directly edited the vanilla or long war 2 loot tables and because of the way XCOM2 config files work, you're going to have to manually merge the loot tables to make them work. A mod conflict is also possible.
A few users have reported having to start a new campaign to get the loot dropping at a percentage that matches the tables. That has not been my experience and is not my understanding of how that configuration works in the game (during testing, I frequently changed the loot tables mid campaign and saw the results reflected immediately upon starting the game back up). So, YMMV.
