[issue fixed] - May 13th Update causes game to crash and fail to load
Update on 6/16/2017 -- This issue has been fixed by the author.

Prior to May 13, I was using this mod with no issues.

However, after the update, I am unable to load games that were saved with the old version of Mali active.

My process to detect the failure is to start a new game, complete turn 1, save, then exit the game (exit to Desktop), then re-start Civ6 and load the game I had just saved.

I disabled all mods (including first-party content), and enabled only this mod, and then disabled it.

With the mod disabled, everything (including other JFD mods) works fine, but the Mali mod causes even the most basic game to fail to load.

Please fix this. I enjoy using this mod. The new leader graphic looks awesome!

I have used this mod in the past without problem as well.

After this update I am unable to even start new game while this mod is active.

So I saw that there was an update to this civ on June 15th; however, I didn't see that any of the concerns about the game crashing when loading a game have been fixed.

Did those issues get addressed and fixed?

I don't want to re-install this mod if it will put me in the same position of being unable to load my games.

So I tried out the same experiment that caused my game to crash after the May 13th update, and now I don't observe the crash. Thank you to the author for fixing the issue.

It's July 15th and I still can't start a game with this mod active, even with no other mods active. Totally broken and unusable.

That's very odd. Since June 16th, I've had no issue with it.

At that time, I started a game with only the Mali modpack active (all other DLC and mods disabled), and it worked.

I started a game with the Mali mod active just yesterday (July 15), and I finished it with a domination victory sometime this afternoon. I definitely saved and loaded a few times, as I could not finish the game in one sitting. In addition to the Mali mod, I also have a bunch of other mods active (everything by Sukriket and JFD, plus all of the "Moar Units" mods).

Maybe you can try to disable, then re-enable all of your Additional Content? Also, there might be a way to force the mod to update (from the "manage downloads" screen, maybe?). I know that there was a big change when the 2 Mali civ leader mods were mereged into 1 mod pack.

Maybe somehow, either your mod is not updating, or you're trying to load a game that used the individual leader? For example, if you are not using the "Mali modpack", and instead are using "Musa I" mod, then you wouldn't be able to load a previously saved game. You would need to unsubscribe to the "Musa I" mod, then subscribe to the Mali mod pack mod.

But your problem is with both new and previous games, and that doesn't quite fit the above hypothesis.

See if you can force your mods to update to the latest version. If you confirm they are the latest and it still doesn't work, it's anybody's guess what's wrong.

I hope you can fix it. This mod is fun to play.

not just Mali doesn't work, I'm checking the mods one by one. Canda also doesn't work
