How to remove the launcher complaint, by kingdark
Hi all,
Please spread the word but please give me credit. Anyone is allowed to post this elsewhere as long as I'm given credit.

Hi all,
This is a short tutorial in how to get rid of the launcher complaints. This will basically remove that stupid alert that your mod / game isn't up to date. Keep in mind that this will ONLY and ONLY remove the complaint itself. It will not, I repeat, it will NOT do anything to ANY other files. That means that if a patch came out, like the recent 2.0 update for Stellaris, that requires other files to be updated, then you must NOT follow this tutorial. if other people confirm that it still works then you can follow this without a problem.

Having said that, I only know how to do this in a windows operating system.

Step one: Go to your documents and open the map.
Step two: find paradaox interactive and open the map.
Step three: Find the stellaris map and open it.
Step four: find the mod folder.
Step five: The amount of files you have here depends on the amount of mods you have installed. If you have only five, then there will be only five. If you got fifty, then there will be fifty mods. The next part is a bit tricky but if you follow my steps it's as easy as anything!

DO NOT CLOSE THIS MAP. SIMPLY MINIMIZE IT.

Go to the mod page of the mod you want to edit. On the workshop. Don't do this via steam but via your favorite web browser. This is because every mod has an ID.

For example:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=787280885 --> This is the mod link to an old favorite of mine, called remember primitives. now, you can ignore everhything except the last number. In other words: you're going to need this number:787280885. Keep in mind that this will be different for the mod YOU want to edit. I'm just showing you this so you know which number I'm referring to.

copy the number either on paper or by right clicking the number ONLY and copying the number ONLY. Do not copy the entire link.

Now, you may close your browser. Remember the name you weren't allowed to close? open it again and you're only four steps away from being done.

Hit Control+F and I don't mean control and + and F but only control then F. Now windows will search for a specific mod. copy the number into the search folder and if you did it right only one file should be left.
Open the mod with notepad. Change the number into the current game version, save and BOOM you're done.

If any of this is unclear, let me know and i'll try to clarify it.
