nah jk just gonna list them in order, 1 is hardest to invade and 5 is ez pz ls
South america
5
bruh they so divided that you could legit try to cut them countries into millions but the pieces wouldnt be any smaller. has lots of resources (then again every other region in the world does but antartica, but it might have oil not sure)
also they dont have any real ties to the west or the east (allied axis and what not) so its safe to go and invade all u want (i think)
Austrailia
4
a quarter pounder of a country (in terms of size/amount of cities), austrailia
is pretty hard considering its a member of the allies, but its link to the southeastern archipelago of asia makes it much easy to break through, as you dont need big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corvettes to guard your land units while they go across a 41240141341 tile stretch. (exaduration, duh)
Asia
3
well it has the big ol soviet union, but they are prob busy with the germans however china might be a problem and theres loads of small puppet states (i.e. manchuko, british raj) of different countries around asia.
North america
2
Just invade through the kamchatka-alaska connection if you have the ability to, or invade through south america. Unless you want to waste loads of naval/air units trying to break through the east/west coasts of america.
Strong ties with allies. Very strong ties.
Europe
1
Just stay out of this field of blood (not joking, if there was a mod that made units leave skeletons/blood splatters behind on hexes then it would litterally be a vampires wet dream)
until things cool down and ssome conutries get annexed/puppeted and what not.
TLDR
go invade south america first and if youre confident enough go to SE asia (NOT austrailia)
then go invade axis or aliies if the war isnt over (never choose axis, they are in horrible state to win since they have barely as much land/cities as allies do also they boxed in from all sides basically)
Hope you all learned something from this!
note;
i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this damn keypad next to my keyboard. i touched against my mouse once when i was typing this the first time and all the stuff was highlighted and as you all know the delete button is on the southeast portion of the keyboard, where my mouse was since im a righty.
so yea it was fun typing this up twice. also english isnt my first language so please excuse incorrect grammar/spelling
nah jk i dont actually care enough to put proper capitalization and grammar and whatnot in a ste- OH ♥♥♥♥ QUEEN ELIZABETHS BACK SHE WANTS MORE TRADE DEALS AND SHE ACTUALLY HAS A GOOD ARMY/NAVY ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ RUN FOR YOUR LIVES SHES GONNA DECLARE WAR ON US SINCE WE ARENT TRADI-
nah double jk queen elizabeth died in like the rennisance or something or maybe when that martin luther dude said "♥♥♥♥ the church, its bs heres 95 reasons why" and started a war.

Now, right off the bat, to keep away the people with pointy sticks that like to jab, impale and insert those sticks, at the drop of a hat, into those seeking answers; who are, ever-so, ignorant of the programming world and the limitations of 3rd party programmers to make the original product even more enjoyable. I am one of the many who have a working knowledge of that world. However, I still consider myself as being ever-so ignorant!!!
I have 4 questions about embassies and the historical time line, getting access to resources, additional cities and mutating island expansionisim.
1) In the 1940 map it starts with Germany at war during its historical time-line for
expansionism. Shouldn't the game start with historical embassies already in place? It feels
all wrong when England asks America for an Embassy in 1943. Also, during a war do the
countries at war with each other keep them in place, or, are the diplomats expelled
and their embassies mothballed? If my memory is correct didn't warring countries negotiate
through the embassies of neutral countries not involved in the conflicts? So after the war is
over the two countries would have to request all over again for diplomatic relations? That is
of course it ended without an unconditional surrender.
2) Shouldn't Alaska have another city in the NW? Even though the US owns all the land hexes
only the southern ones are available for purchases or get automatic growth. That one oil
field and nearby fishing ground just off the northern coast line is off limits to purchases and
automatic growth spurts.
3) With all the uranium fields on the map, most of the countries that have them, especially, the
city-states; most never even go on to research the atom, there-by, rendering many fields
unavailable for use or for trading purposes.
Is it possible to implement into the game an option for nations with the knowledge of a
specific resource to enter into an agreement through negotiations with any, neutral to allied,
nations or city-states who lack the knowledge of identifying, harvesting and refining the
resource a license to harvest and process it. The agreement would stipulate in separate
clauses the devil in the details regarding who controls the resource, either a shared
percentage of raw material, wholly owned by mining company that must pay a market price
per metric ton mined etc...etc..., also included would be the terms for the license to be
renewed, the terms for revocation etc...etc... (It would suck if the USA declared war on
Canada for all the Uranium fields she leaves alone, current mechanics for uranium prevents
the USA to field both a nuclear powered navy and a nuclear powered electricty grid, too bad
we can't supplement our uranium fields with plutonium production) P.S. I'm not asking for
you to do it. I'm just wondering if it could possibly be done by a 3rd party modder or if this is
something that could be pitched to the games developers for insertion into the past and or
future expansions of the civilization series.
4) In both maps the small ocean Islands owned by colonial ruled nations like England, France,
Belgium etc... All appear (to me) to be gobbling up too much of their surrounding ocean tiles
at a rate that's faster than continents with an ocean border. In fact, I'm surprised that
Canada and England aren't at war with each other with the way England is gobbling up
ocean tiles that block off Canada's access to the North Atlantic.
Bermuda is encroaching the USA in concert with the Virgin Islands akin to a phosphate
laden lake feeding a hungry yet suffocating water lily and green algae infestation.
I guess England and the like don't recognize the 12 mile limits of International law.
3.) I think you can help the CS improve tile via Gold, And the 'rendering many fields
unavailable for use or for trading purposes.' is the major reason of imperialism. The reality is that you don't always get to trade, sometimes you get a deal sometimes you don't and when you don't and possess stronger fire power, that's where imperialism comes in.
4.) It is all about Gameplay and Accuracy trade-off, both are important but has to be balanced out. I can simply turn off the purchasing tiles option for all countries but that wouldn't satisfy everyone, the fact is that Civ V has its own mechanic of territorial expansion, even though you don't spend gold to annex lands, your empire will still grow in terms of border. Now imagine, how fast your borders expanded during the first 50 turns of custom game. On this map all borders are already preplaced, the game begins and the territories began to expand to reach other resources deep in the sea or far away. International Law should not be applied in Civ, why? Because it is 'unrealistic', look at how China is occupying the South China Sea, intl. law doesn't exist in such case.
The scenario I created was intended to allow player to play Civ V from an accurate version of Earth in 1939 AD, many people mistaken it as a WWII scenario. I do not intend it to follow the historical timeline or events as that would be too boring. I want to give all of you a chance to rewrite your own version of history through Civ V.
I was only asking these questions out of curiosity based on my own personal observations. While playing your mod I get deeply engaged in examining every little nuance of these bi-polar nations. My friendly nations act like my friends all the while they're planning thier own world domination strategy, look away for one minute and they're placing a dirk in your back.
I realize that this is not a historical turn based game and mod. I was refering to the narrative you gave for the 1940 map where it says that Germany is engaged in a historical operation and when England asked for an embassy in 1943 it caught my historical eye and made me chuckle so I had to ask the question.
Regarding your comment about me affecting the cs's to improve or develope thier resources via the "200 gold for resource improvement" choice. Playing as the US that selection choice is colored in red and unselectable, even when we are allied.
Yeah, after I posted the Alaska question I realized that no state or province in the game has more than one actual city for that state or province and it wouldn't be fair if Alaska had 2.
1 side question about starting the game (either map) as the US. When you finish addressing all the automatic production queues for the US and all you have left is the "next turn" selection button, if you scan the map there are 2 US common-wealth cities (San Juan and Guam) with empty production queues that did not come up in the first turn automatic production queue.
Again,
I can't thank you enough for all the fine and labor intensive work you have given freely.
1. Research Rocketry, and beeline for Particle Physics.
2. I would improve my infrastructure, sending internal trade routes to cities that are starving and micromanaging tiles. I would obviously build cargo ships in my coastal cities seeing as Germany's gpt is -130, and i would sell all my luxuries to reduce this setback.
3. Social Policies - For free tenants, I would pick Level 3 tenants, Gunboat Diplomacy (many CS fear my military might, so having them as allies would give me benefits, secure my trade routes and provide some sort of a buffer zone) and Clausewitz's Legacy for that tasty 25% attack bonus.
4. Navy - I would regroup all my U-Boats near England and France and use hit and run tactics to weaken their navies. The battleships would be near Poland to bombard cities and units.
5. Wait 3 turns invade Poland, keep some reserves near the French and Belgian borders.
6. After taking over Poland, I turn to France but seeing my economic situation is dire, I would get a peace treaty with them for a considerable amount of gpt.
7. Wait 10 turns, Finish off Mainland France and get another peace treaty.
8. I would have completed the Manhattan Project now and i would drop the A-Bomb on London (I can't have them building one), then get a peace treaty with England.
9. I then turn towards Russia, T-34s are easy meat for my Panthers and take the three cities on near the border, crippling the army, and destroying the infrastructure by dropping the A-Bomb on Moscow. Then get a peace deal to wait and resupply my army.
10. Meanwhile, I have declared war on the US for historical accuracy and send my fleet of U-Boats to pillage the East Coast of America. I already have a carrier coming up with an A-Bomb.
11. Declare war on the Soviet Union, take Moscow and Stalingrad, and other minor cities which removes the my only competition in the Old World (Maybe...Japan but they are weakened due to their ongoing war with the US).
The rest is sweeping up the Old World with the German war machine and dropping more nukes on America, invading England...nothing to worry about. What are your thoughts on this strategy?
Sounds fun and historically entertained, but let me present my alternative. It's much similar to yours but differ largely on who to delcare war first.
1.) Same
2.) Similar - I would rather send all trade routes on Gold-focus as the -GPT imo is the most unbearable factor for a long term warfare.
3.) Same
4.) Similar, - In addition, I also scramble a small group of U-Boat about 1-2 on a long distance cargo ship-hunt beside the Atlantic sphere. GB will shift her trades to the East Africa and Asia, upon WW2. It was devastated for the British with the U-Boats in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean.
5.) Now here, the difference. To me Poland, is not a worth cause. The defensive pact of Poland will trigger you into war with GB, France, Canada and all their CS Dutch etc. This instantly brings you into a two front war, where force you to divide the troops. My first strike would be on France, rush Paris. Meanwhile, use the more advanced army to push the Poles, not for their city but fortifying to claim tiles, gaining siege spot under your control.
The rest are very much similar, :D
sry for my stupid english
