Spawn Blocker v2.13

Should the Spawn Blocker only block new Dino spawns or should it destroy any wild Dino that comes into contact with it? Personally, I think destroying all wild Dinos is too OP. Would you even need a base or walls if that was the case? Ha! We were thinking about making it an option in the INI settings that way server admins could decide. What do you think?

Admins deciding would be good. I saw this mod and thought "This is a bit OP and I also need this for safe Wild Wyvern Farms".

Technically the fact that it despawns ALL wild Dinos and not just newly spawned ones is a bug. We are still working to fix it which lead to my question.

When I say island I mean the islets not the mainland. herbivore island, southern tropical island, so on, places that shouldnt support brontos and so on.

Well, this is pretty much what I've been asking for, now the icing on the cake would be if I could allow certain spawns like fish for fishing, trilobites, Ichythyosuarus, so on.

I like having no new spawns, Its MY Island not the dinos, I'm tired of brontos spawning and destroying my trees and everything else shaking my camera or pushing me out of the way when im building, and even if I do get happy with what I have built, I hate the wildlife on my island.
I'm gonna have a nice theme going.

The only downside as I said above is the fish, I don't know if allowing selective spawns is possible but its worth looking into considering that no new spawns is a bug and you're asking.

This is pretty much a better fix then what I had going, i was spawning level 100,000 compys in to 1 shot everything, i spawned so many to the point I only had 5-10 animals spawning in different areas, this way is much less aggravating and comp resource intensive.

if you are inland, then having walls should stop dinos from spawning in the interior. I sometimes have pteranodons spawn in my house, so that would be a nice twist for this mod.

Make it default to only preventing new spawns inside the idicated range.
The other option is way tooo abusive, like stealing wyvern eggs and like you stated, destroys the purpouse of having a well built defence.

Stunned Dinos ?
It would be good if the blocker no stunned Dino killed

"Should the Spawn Blocker only block new Dino spawns or should it destroy any wild Dino that comes into contact with it? "

My vote: Make it an .ini option.

We personally want it to destroy ANY wild Dino chosen on the list that comes in contact with it either via spawning within it or wandering into it's range.

Or better yet, can it behave like a barrier that simply keeps them out like a forcefield? That way only that which spawns in it are despawned and nothing else can get in anyhow.

An .ini option maybe?

obviously ini would please the most people. in the event that ini isn't possible/too difficult to do both, then my vote is for 'only block new Dino spawns' as, like you said, having it destroy everything is way too OP. thanks for the great mod!

i would want it to be a config setting maybe :P we only need a spawn blocker to stop reaper kings spawning inside our area for metal gathering and refining on extinction, but i guess it could also be need to have it able to kill all dinos ( maybe a config setting that will also up the resources needed for it for a big amount like 300 element or smt ) or maybe even better 2 versions . a only spawn block version thats cheaper to make and a also killing dinos coming incontact with it version that may have a healthbar like the tek shield, and needs to recharche after a while ?
