Hey mate,
i had a siege on one of my test sites for mod compatability and witnessed a steel artillery trying to shoot 81mm shells. they brought 6 shells, gunner went to the artilelry and the aiming retangle narrowed but there was no actual shell getting shot.

not sure if they do not load properly / change to the ammo type they brought
or what else could be

just spawned a few sieges they now brought tear gas and sleep gas shells, 2 steel artillerys, everything working properly
unfortunatley i have not looked at the shells brought with the buggy arty in the logs

Checked more it seems to be a problem maybe with gas traps mod, rage shells wont load, corrosive gas shells wont load, tear gas loaded though

Thanks for the info. Have you tried mortars without CE? Sadly, i'm not very active in the rimworld modding scene as of late. Got this dude who maybe want to take over the mod. I'll forward the info if we come to a deal. <3

Maybe it doesn't matter anymore as we got 1.1 and everyone working on everything :D but thank you for your attention

Wolvgar: When i looked through your (very extensive) log file i found no problems pointing directly to GasTrap mod. But i saw a bunch of error relating to other mods. CE for instance.

I tested this in the new version I posted and this mod by itself all rounds can be loaded and fired by ai during seige. The odds are the "81mm" which I dont know what mod its from doesnt like the ammo provided in GasTraps. I assume its from CE and as far as I understand CE causes a lot of strange things to happen with all sorts of mods like when you mix it with Doors Expanded (which I noticed is installed in your log) it causes vanilla artillery to cause a ton of lag, try the 1.1 version and if it still occurs I can try (within reason) to make it work for you.

I will try to make it and keep it as other mod friendly as possible.

i removed a snowy tree mod that was throwing a sos error i belive and after that it worked, i ve no idea how a treesprite mod interfere with gastraps and ce for example :D well now is 1.1 can't wait for ce to drop an update and thanks for your reply

Cant tell you CE apparently has some bad ju ju with a lot of mod combinations, but I don't use it so I never bothered to investigate
