(This is probably a bad idea for comp players, but its just my own suggestion)
+ Silent Killer: No killfeeds
+ When fully charged: Allows to penetrate one player (so no machina 4-5 player multikill)
* Instead of hitscan, it shoots small not-deflectable and not-destructible (Short Circuit) projectile with arc (so if target is far away, you have to aim above head, not much but still)
* Custom scope texture so you can aim with mil-dots
I'm open for ,,fix suggestions"
On hit: +1 primary ammo
-80% primary ammo on wearer
When I saw the model I thought it looked like the Sniper Rifle version on the Widomaker so I thought it might function like it.
-infinite range*
-silent killer no killfeed
-when scopped in scroll the mouse wheel to zoom. Zooming increases your range*(this is where infinite range comes from) but decreases your periferal vision.
-the more zoomed in you are the slower you move
- -50% damage on bodyshot
- damage vunrability when scopped. 5% vunrability when just scopped. 25% vunrability when fully zoomed
- Marked for Death
- Headshots only Minicrit
+ Doesn't Unscope when fired
+ Crosshair Glows Blue when the target is in line of fire
+ 10% Firing Speed
Silent Killer: No killfeed announcement
Does not have to unscope between shots
Cons:
50% less damage on bodyshots
25% slower charge rate
-Bullets Can Heal Teammates 65hp
-A Headshot On a Teammate Will Give a 'Critical Heal' (Meaning a Quick Scope will give 150 HP whilst a Charged Shot will Give Back 450. No Overheal)
-20% Quicker Reload
-25% Less Damage on Bodyshots
-Fires Tracer Bullets
Whilst sniper itself is really fun to play and requires an immense amount of skill, it is still a rather linear class without any diversity (apart from the Huntsman and Sydney Sleeper).
To that, I propose a rifle that'll be able to allow the sniper to play a much more supportive role for his team, rather than the occasional medic and sniper pick.
So, this rifle is essentially based around the idea of trading the ability to charge up a body-shot and one-shot someone, as well with the ability to stay hidden due to the tracer bullets, for the ability to heal your teammates when they are in need.
The major problem I see with this rifle, however, is the replacement of a medic. Whilst the Medic can provide amazing powerful Uber charges, a good sniper could potential out heal a Medic, which shouldn't really be the case.
When scoped: Be able to see invisible spies (A blue or red outline, depends on team)
20% reload speed
Slient Killer
Cons-
15% less damage
20% scope charge time
20% less ammo
This is a little bit too powerful. It would completely counter the Dead Ringer, and you have Jarate for that. Maybe it could see enemy health instead?
The Dingo Dart Blaster (Aussie jokes for days.), or the DDB for short
Pros:
On Headshot: Slows players down to 50% base speed for 3 seconds
On Full charge: Shots penetrate players, fist target hit doesnt need headshot for slow effect.
(Hidden)
Dart deals normal bodyshot damage, and needs to headshot to apply slow.
Plays a dingo's howl after double slow-headshotting.
Cons:
Doesn't crit on headshot.
-15% charge speed.
I know what you're thinking:
"HEY Das deh samman aund deh mashinma and deh sleper on a sigle gauhn!!!"
Well, yes and no.
This gun functions much like the sleeper, in that it's meant to be a support weapon. Unlike the sleeper though, It's meant for one or two, high priority targets, not a group of targets. And like the sandman (Post pyro update), it's meant to slow down enemies, though they'll still be able to fire back. And since people will still complain aboutthe sandman afterwards, we don't want to abuse the effect here, so a negative chage rate debuff will help keep it from being crazy. And the machina parts, the peircing, are meant to reward good snipers. Slowing two players down, say a medic and a hoovy, then you can easily stall a building uber, or have a scout run up and... well you cant crit them with the cleaver anymore, after the update, so what you can do is have them run up and force-a-nature em, or finish em off with an smg or a jarate-laced shot.
