Notices, Links, & Frequently Asked Questions
In an effort to clean up the front page and disseminate information without having multiple pinned topics or having information lost to later pages of threads, this thread will list any recently released information about the game, including short term fixes, unofficial announcements, links to various resources, and questions that are commonly asked by new players.

Mods, if you have something to add, feel free to; just keep the thread locked so it doesn't get cluttered. Do not leave references to your YouTube channel, guides, or other media though; questions should be answered concisely instead of sending new players to search through guides or specific parts of a long video, and this is not a place for promoting our stuff.

As for everyone else, you can subscribe to this thread to be notified when a notice is posted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions we've all had at one point:

How Do I Get a Track Builder to an Isolated Railway Construction Offices in Realistic Mode?
In short, buy a track builder from the "DIsassembled" category (only Soviet customs and "beyond the borders" sell this), and then get a large flatbed truck to load it at the customs house and unload it at the railway construction office, where it will be "assembled" and available to build track.

If the truck doesn't load this track builder, ensure you bought a disassembled version, that "wait until loaded" is not checked in the truck's line/schedule, and that the truck can actually carry it (click on the track builder's icon in the customs house and then click on the icon in its window/menu that looks like a blue (?) over a truck; this will list all the vehicles that can carry it).

Why Won't Construction Offices Work On My Projects?
This could be for a few reasons:

Is the Infrastructure colored white? - You haven't confirmed construction. Select the building option you want (build with rubles/dollars or "from resources") in the bottom right corner of the screen (right above the map), and then confirm construction by clicking on the button next to these options; it should look like a crane or rubles/dollars, depending on what you picked.

Is the construction office assigned? - Construction offices (CO) need a path to, into, and from the construction site to be assigned to it:
  • Factory connection crossings can only be accessed by road based COs from a connected forklift garage. Forklifts are also the only use for factory connections, so you shouldn't place a factory connection without a forklift garage.
  • Construction vehicles can use footpaths to access construction sites, but they cannot use pedestrian bridges/tunnels to access other construction sites, including other pedestrian bridges/tunnels. Stairs and metro escalators can be used to access pedestrian bridges and tunnels though.
  • Footpaths can only be built from other roads or footpaths. A footpath between a station and a building cannot be built by COs without another path to connect it to a road.
  • Most buildings have two-way entrances/exits, but some have one-way entrances and exits; construction vehicles must be able to drive in through the entrance and out through the exit, and back to the construction office in order to work there or make deliveries.

Is the CO in range? - COs can only automatically assign themselves to jobs within 1 to 3 km from their CO, as measured along the road. You can manually assign the CO to any workplace on the map so long as the vehicles can find a path there and back.

How to Opt into the Beta - Why Can't I Find A Specific Feature in My Game?
There is a public beta that has new features that are under development, which you may have seen elsewhere. If you want to enjoy/test new features and help improve the game, and you don't mind some bugs or unstable gameplay, then instructions for opting into the Beta can be found here.

Make sure to post any problems or feedback for the Beta in the Test branch - New version testing forum.

There is also a closed beta that has the latest features under development, but it is unavailable to the public.

How Do Railway Signals Work?
Signals are kind of complicated, but there are quite a few guides that talk about them, including one from the developer.

I Don't See My Question Here...

Selling Used Vehicles with Maintenance Enabled - Moving Vehicles
Used vehicles can be sold at the customs house or at "beyond the borders" in a variety of ways. This includes ships and aircraft, though this is done in a different way than other vehicles. These techniques can also be used to move vehicles around within your republic.

Selling Used Road and Train Vehicles (General Method)
You will need the following:
  • A suitable "space for vehicles" (as found in the General cargo tab):
    • Some road vehicles cannot fit in the smaller space for vehicles, including most trolley buses and the Э-10011Д excavator; these vehicles require the large space for vehicles.
    • Railway vehicles also cannot enter the small space for vehicles on their own power, including trams, so they will need a large space for vehicles and a track connection to it.
    • Some of the largest trainsets can only enter the very largest space for vehicles.
  • A suitable vehicle to carry or tow the used vehicles:
    • Trucks can carry most road vehicles and most trams.
    • Locomotives can tow railway vehicles and carry most road vehicles to customs.
    • Ships can carry almost every land vehicle to "beyond the borders."

Note that for towing any railway vehicle, including trams, you must have the towing locomotive enter the space for vehicles that is storing it or the locomotive won't be able to "reach" and tow it. Used vehicles can be pulled across one factory connection if they are carried though, including onto train wagons and trucks, and this allows ships to load (and unload) at small cargo harbors connected to spaces for vehicles.

To actually sell the used land vehicle, you have to do the following:
  1. Send whatever used land vehicle you want to sell to the space for vehicles with the "change depot/workplace" command found in its menu.
  2. Then tell whatever vehicle you want to carry it to go and load vehicles at the space for vehicles or a connected cargo station and carry it to customs or beyond the borders. Do not check "wait until unloaded" for the customs stop.
  3. The carrier should go and load the vehicle(s) and take them to customs or beyond the border to be sold.

Selling Used Trains from a Depot
You will need:
• A train depot that is accessible to the used railway vehicles you want to sell.
• A railway connection between the train depot and customs.
• A locomotive that can traverse this connection (the diesel ones always work).

Procedure:
  1. Start by getting the railway vehicles you want to sell into the depot; the "change depot or workplace" command usually suffices for this, but wagons will need to be hauled to the depot.
  2. You will also need the locomotive to enter the depot too, if it isn't already there.
  3. Open the depot's menu, and then hold the left mouse button down with the cursor on whatever vehicle you want sold, which will cause a [+] icon to appear at the right end of the locomotive's row in the depot.
  4. While the left mouse button down with the cursor on the vehicle, drag it over to the [+] icon and release the mouse button. This will attach the vehicle to the locomotive as a towed vehicle, but in a way that it will be recognized as a cargo too.
  5. Repeat this for the other railway vehicles until all are attached or the train is too long for any more to be attached.
  6. Give the locomotive a line/schedule to go to customs and unload vehicles there and then to return to the depot (so you don't have to babysit it during its run), and then start it on the line/schedule.

Selling Used Trams and Trolley Buses from Their Depots
Trucks can load trams and trolley buses from their respective tram/trolley depots if they can carry them, but you can only have them load specific models, not a particular vehicle in the depot. Still, this works fine if you need to remove a certain tram or trolley bus from its network.

Since trams require a tram/railway track connection to enter a space for vehicles or a train depot under its own power, simply having a truck carry trams from the tram depot to wherever for disposal is usually the easier option, but this is not an option for the larger trams that trucks cannot carry.

Selling Used Mechanisms from a Road Depot
If you can send a mechanism and a truck that can carry it to a depot or construction/demolition office, you can manually load a mechanism onto the truck and then tell the truck to unload it at customs.

You can also use this method to transfer mechanisms between depots and offices that accept open hull trucks.

Selling Used Mechanisms from a Workplace
You can tell trucks to haul mechanisms out of their workplaces too, such as construction offices, farm buildings, forklift garages, and so on.

Simply get a truck that can carry the mechanism you want sold, and tell it to load vehicles at the mechanism's workplace and unload at customs. You can click on the vehicles icon in the line settings to specify a specific model, but unfortunately there isn't a way to select a particular vehicle of that model from the workplace.

I would only recommend this if all mechanisms in the workplace needed to be replaced or if you only have one model you need to remove, but this method also works for transferring tower cranes and other mechanisms between workplaces.

Selling Used Aircraft/Ships
You will need the following:
• A dock for ships or an aircraft pad for aircraft, that they can get to.
• A way for the ship/aircraft to reach either "beyond the borders" from the dock/pad.

Then sell the used ship/aircraft like so:
• Send the vehicle to their respective depot (dock/pad).
• Clear their line settings and give them just one of the "beyond the borders" stops.
• Uncheck both the "load" and "unload" sections for this stop.
• Launch the vehicle on this single stop line.

The ship/aircraft will make its way to the "beyond the borders" and then be sold when it reaches it.
