Thank god it allowed me to finish 100% my Valkyria Chronicles 4 achievements the other day. Now I can't launch either that game or Fallout 3 GOTY edition. Tried the listed fixes as well. Having no problem launching Steam, either. Just the games. Guess I will try the Canadian servers like the above poster.
Edit: I tried the Canadian servers and that was a no-go as well. Guess I'll have to wait for an update.
Edit 2: after updating my Steamwork common redistributables file I got both my games to work.
If you check my second edit you'll notice that my games started working after updating the Steamwork Common Redistributables file.
Not saying it'll work for you but it is worth a try I think.
The issue is that it WON'T update because of no content servers available and no internet connection errors. It worked for all of 5 seconds earlier and once I started downloads it stuttered working then stopped again. Going to keep looking.
Understood ... good luck finding a solution.
I kept hitting retry while trying to update Steamworks Common Redistributables. Eventually it updated then I was able to enter my games.
If you don't see it on your download list try to download a game that uses it. For example I tried downloading The Witcher 3 which uses the Steamwork Common Redistributables. After trying everything listed above by another poster to get either the no internet connection/content servers unavailable issue I decided to try updating it. Don't ask me why ... I was desperate to get my games working and wa-la I was back to playing.
You can either look for other ways to fix it or you can at least try getting it to fully update and try then. Your choice. Personally this is the first time I've ever had any issues with Steam of any kind so I'm not going to complain. Stuff happens and nothing is perfect.
i was downloading a bunch of demos just fine like an hour ago but now all of a sudden i can't download anything because it says No Internet Connection
