I think the latest patch now fixed it.

EDIT: Nevermind, now it crashes when using radial vocalizations.

Ok, so should I delete these .zip.efe(etc) files or not? I still have both parameters in the steam.cfg file. I plan on opening steam via launching the app, not using a flushconfig command.

i never tryed to delete those files but if steam need to download them again , the current one will be downloaded so imo, it's better to leave them as they are unless you want to go back to an older steam release as explained on @lightwo guide

In my previous reply, that was the app package folder itself, opened by right clicking and then "show contents"
The other place where Steam files are stored is in my user folder; the following folder contains several .zip files from the date Steam downloaded the update:

Macintosh HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/Steam.AppBundle/Steam/Contents/MacOS/package

For example, one file from this folder is

"bins_client_osx.zip.vz.efe0b05f3291de70a04f81b43e09f17d4047e456_18048715"

There are like 70 other similar files in this folder.

try to find *.zip.* if your steam is using zipped file as in windows. If you find theses files , then you are on the right folder.

Yes both are needed , just in case you press the check for update button of steam and with both, steam won't check update and update on startup
I guess the folder is the same as the windows client, and located at steam\package but do not delete them xd

I've tryed cs2 one month ago and it worked but it seems i wasn't able able to join a mp game - april release :
it was possible to enter lobby but as soon as the game launched to enter the map, i get fired because of my level so no clue but till there it worked as i could do some party with bots.
