Related: It would be good to get some sort of notification when content you subscribe on gets updated. Apart from them getting a surprise download, there isn't any way notifying subscribers when you have released an update.

If I remember it right, either the mac version of the game or the addon installer does that to long vpk filenames.

You can set up the mission script for the map for only the gamemode of your mutation. It won't prevent anyone from launching it into other modes from console though.

I wonder if TIMER_SET is supported, I haven't seen it documented anywhere. I've only used TIMER_COUNTUP, TIMER_COUNTDOWN and TIMER_STOP.

You just use the timer number (0 - 3) set in the special property instead of the name, and the time in seconds:
HUDManageTimers( 3, TIMER_SET, 300 )

Also make sure your elements use different timer numbers if you want them to display different values.

At least the ammo function adds to it instead of setting the absloute value.

Is that method supposed to be invokable on survivors? And does IsSurvivor() give the right response? If it does, it should at least be possible to work around.

Update 2013-04-12:

I have now added single use ammo boxes to the random spawn system (thanks for GiveAmmo()). They are implemented with named prop_physics entities that are scanned for with the player_use game event callback. I don't know any way of getting the bots to use them, but they get ammo when players pick it up instead.

It's slightly easier now, I can just about reatch 5 minutes.

Vector tip: You can use vector arithmetic to calculate the distance slightly more elegantly.
Fundamentally it still uses the same method to do it as in your function though.

I tested it on my campaign, and it seems to find everything. Awesome!

One question about the cubemap textures (i hope this isn't too OT either). Is there any gain from packing them into the vpk? It's the same textures that get packed into the .bsp, right? I've seen them inclued in a few campaigns, but never noticed any missing reflections when I've tested my vpks without them.
