[OPEN RECRUITMENT] "Trials of The Soul Arts" Looking for animators, model porters, and SFX people
I'm looking for people to help me work on a *new* project called "Trials of The Soul Arts", a tribute to dark fantasy medieval genre and the "Souls" games in general. I already have soemthing cooked up with someone for a teaser, but some of the work to be used in the project have yet to be released or edited for use in SFM (ie the shadowgreen map doesn't have HDR and the Large Sword of Moonlight from the Blade Symphony Workshop). https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=322011259 My laptop isn't very good at keeping cool with doing SFM, so I'm stuck with doing cool posters for the concept, jotting down ideas on the project with others and basically directing/writing the project in general.

I'm on the fence on whether or not to use actors, or keep the characters slient and let body language dictate their motivations. Lastly, Some of the maps and characters I thought I could use will probably require assets from Dark Souls I and maybe II.

You're more likely to have more support if you show previous examples of your specialties. Whether they be lighting, rigging, modeling, texturing, animating, or musical composition, it's best to show previous experience.

I've had my experiences with SFM, but it's nothing to gawk about: http://maddogsamureye.deviantart.com/ Problem is that my laptop is utter crap for animations, but not for posters. I've also done some basic model porting with one model, but it's Sci-fi and mostly for another project of mine(though I do wish I could get someone to help with these): https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=310337304&searchtext= Don't worry, I do plan to release a couple more related to the model. The most I can do with this setup at this point is make good posters, get good poster requests, and write up the story, plot, concept, etc.
In a nutshell, I'm coping with animating on a crappy laptop, doing teaser posters, and writing out the story and the concepts. Though a co-writer or two would be useful as well.
Update: I am trying my hand at animating again. Been trying to make a teaser, but I am currently having trouble getting items to lock on a model with the puppet script active and the biped simple rigged. I also got lost when setting up another shot with a 2nd camera.
Update on the project: Due to having on relying on Dark Souls/Demon's Souls models coming in and none have appeared since the time of this thread, this project is shelved until people can find the time to rip into these games more. sorry for the long reply, but it's the way it's gonna be. I'm moving on to Sci-fi with the popularity of Transformers in the Workshop now thanks to my new contributions.
