Hammer Q2`15: Practical Joke (Won by:Innocentive due to lack of participients)
Current stage: The competition is over

This Hammer challenge
This challenge was submitted by: LPChip
The idea for this challenge is to do the following:
A practical joke is creating a situation where someone is doing something while something completely unrelated happens to them that they do not expect. They may be scared or not, but it should give them a feeling of joy afterwards (otherwise its just a bad joke)

For Hammer Q2'15 I'm going to suggest you to build in a practical joke into your puzzle. The rules for the map are as follows:
- The map must be a regular puzzle that the player must solve.
- Somewhere along the way, you fabricate in the practical joke. While the player takes an action to advance in the puzzle, additionally to that action, something unexpected happens. This can be a lightshow, singing turrets, glados being funny, doing something with the puzzle elements, and reset to the stage after the joke is finished (cubes dancing around, etc...)
- The practical joke cannot be part of the puzzle: eg. after it is triggered, the new situation is what is required to continue with the puzzle. (if somehow the player was able to skip your practical joke, they still can finish the map just fine)
- More than one practical jokes may be present in your map, but the focus should be on the puzzle, not the practical jokes. So don't overdo it.
- The player must be able to continue the puzzle without having hinder of the practical joke. (eg. making the player continiously shake so they can't walk straight, causing them to die easily is bad, unless it wears of after say... 10 seconds)
- You may force the player to become unresponsive during the practical joke (for cinematics)
- The player cannot die during the practical joke.
- The player should not be able to abuse the practical joke to skip part of the puzzle.

An example of how this could work:
- In a room there's a pedestal button attached to a cube dropper. You press the button expecting a cube to come out of the dropper, instead, the player is locked so it can't move, then out of the cube dropper, there falls like 20 cubes due to some defective. Then out of the wall comes a tube that sucks up all cubes, then one cube falls out of the dropper, player can move again.

And we have a winner!

Innocentive won this competition...
...with a nice total score of 1 point.

This weeks runner ups are: No one who came second with 0 points, and No one who came third with 0 points.

Due to the lack of interest, the Hammer competition will not be continued until enough interest is being shown.
