They have done this in the past on here, but i found it interesting that now people are also trying it more now on consoles. Basically, a person makes a similar named game to trick people into buying the fake type game, but it sounds like the actual game with slighty altered name. I found for example REPO scam game is now on console PS5 and people fell for it:

Again, not common on steam as people have done this before, but now it is being done in consoles too. The fact it is being done more is alarming as this type of scam may increase further into the future. I hope valve is aware of stuff like this and hope they curtail it when it gets worse on steam, and yes, it will.

Interstingly enough, the fake game is not found on steam. It is called REPO: GHOST HAUL.
