Wytchsun: Elleros Origins - Shady Devs
This isn't coming from me and can't confirm nor endorse what is being said but there are definitely some shady stuff going on about this new Steam release: https://steamhost.cn/app/1068530/Wytchsun_Elleros_Origins/

Without going to much in details (see links below), it appears to be a re-release of an existing Steam game so just that is already dubious:

Thanks for the post.

I have an article penned and in the editing room over on TechRaptor about this issue including an interview with the developer. I'll post a link here and will link it in the curation that will be up on both games.

Thanks for the information! Having the game added to the curator will grant additional visibility to the article so sounds good to me :cozyspaceengineersc:

Cool, thanks, is there any reason why Steam havn't taken action on this/these games yet? I take it you emailed your contacts like you do with other dodgy games/devs? it's infuriating Steam are letting him get away with this, this will actively promote other dodgy devs doing exactly the same thing if Steam don't respond.

I put a request in for a press statement and got no response back.

Oh ok, is it normally a press statement you ask for? it's just I see that woods looting game, you received an email back about that. I guess i just want confirmation from Steam that they are aware and are looking into this anti-consumer behaviour at the very least. So frustrating trying to contact them for months, only for it to always fall on deaf ears as i don't have 100k twitter followers etc, if they are going to make users curate the store themselves they should do better than just flat out ignoring us :(

When I reach out for statements on behalf of a TechRaptor article that I write, I go through the appropriate press channels, but I've never really had any luck with them, but seeing as how with those articles I'm representing a greater body, I wish to be as professional as possible when I'm reaching out.

I reach out to other sources at Valve with regards to other instances that aren't getting TechRaptor coverage, and of course if I am definitely sure instances are in violation of Steam conduct, throught the alternative methods I have at my disposal. I never enter into e-mails with the intent of getting developers banned, they're simply for Valve knowledge as I know they typically 90% of the time at least acknowledge the issue which is typically enough for me in all honesty.

Well I tweeted at Alden Kroll a few days ago, letting him know about Wytchsun and Greylaw and he's just replied back that they're going to take a look at it.
