Report a translation problem
Going off topic here - but is this still the case? I've seen several devs encourage players to support them via Patreon or post Patreon links on the forums or community announcements. Notable examples include Dwarf Fortress and Little Witch Nobeta.
Personally I don't see a problem with such posts - they're very much like Kickstarter promotions. What I see as a reasonable restriction is to disallow such links in the game itself.
As mentioned, given how SS13 was never really officially released and has been kept alive by the community, this one, I will admit in retrospect, is in a bit of a gray area. And while I know there are issues with Byond's service and the like, the fact that they decided to just change the name by one numerical digit while keeping everything else the same seems rather suspect.
