Agreed. It's always funny when I see these things come back like a bad penny. They're the two most popular "turn key" assets around (although you can't buy Hammer anymore).

Playway is a junk publisher. I do know the developer Max and have spoken to him a few times back when his game first got released and asked some questions about the whole publishing deal. It's a crap deal as they gave him $10k or something for assets and development, but once it went on sale he had to pay that back (through the Steam revenue) plus interest (those fees you mentioned). At the last point I talked to him, he was just breaking even so sales would have been in the black for him, but I think Playway pulled the rug and demanded more "fees" and like you said, eventually shut it down. Yeah, stay away from Playway and be really careful with any agreements you get into. If it sounds too good to be true ("we'll give you $10k to make your game!") it usually is.

Wasteland Rangers is an asset flip of the MFPS 2.0: Multiplayer FPS kit by Lovatto Studio from the Unity Asset Store.

This game is also questionable since:
1. It released for Free
2. Price went up to $1
3. Price jumped to $70
4. A week later the price dropped back down to $1

We covered this developer WUT Studios elsewhere in the forums here. I just wanted to highlight the flip here since it's so obvious.

It's an asset flip not from the asset author (In know the author). I've contacted him but we'll see if they can do anything (they usually can't). Just report the app.

That's the problem. You can report the game through Steam but nobody sees that except Steam themselves. You can post on social media and other places, but unless users are looking in those places they don't see it. The only place you can post that will hopefully reach potential buyers is their own forums, which will result in your comments being deleted and getting banned. Posting in other places is somewhat effective and at least we have control over it being censored and removed but it's an uphill battle.

Looking at the update history, discussions, etc. on most of the games I think this guy might have just bought a large catalog of apps, although the app.id file does show it's Hard Shark Games. Not sure what's going on.

I would suspect so, but I have no evidence as I don't use G2A. In any case, nobody pumps out 30 games on a single day.

More shenanigans from this dirty dev. Here's Supermarket Simulator Pro from them. The logo is a direct copy from many of the Microsoft Simulator franchise, the name is just the name of the game they made a cheap copy of with "Pro" tagged on the end, and the game is a knockoff of the original game.

Same here. I posted threads on a half dozen of his asset flips and (when he got around to reading them) deleted the messages and banned me from the community. After 5 of these bans I got a global community ban for 24 hours that prevented me from posting anything, anywhere. I sent in a support ticket to Steam along with a) the name of the game and link b) link to the asset in the Unity store showing the identical screenshots/videos and c) the ban message (which never had a reason for the ban). Would be nice if Steam required someone to provide a reason for the ban to see what these people are saying. In any case I can post again and will continue to call out dirty devs like this.
