Nice work! I've gone through most of the forums and left my "Asset flip, do not buy" message. It'll either raise awareness or get deleted and earn me a ban. Of course everything is archived (thanks Wayback machine!). I've also reported all of the games as asset flips. Thanks for tracking these down!

The Sentinels got together and we've been working on this list. As far as the Unity game go, most (if not all) of the GamesForGames games were originally Atomic Fabrik games.

Here's a rundown of what these were asset flips of (so far). I haven't found the asset/kits for some of the games but here are the main ones:

Animals vs. Animals - Asset flip of Animal Racing (SellMyApp)
Diamonds Collector - Asset flip of Realistic Car Controller (Unity Asset Store)
Gas Gas Rocket - Asset flip of Hovershift (Unity Asset Store)
Wild Animals Transporter - Asset flip of Realistic Car Controller (Unity Asset Store)
Zombodesert - Asset flip of Cowboy Dash (SellMyApp)

There are others and we're still going through the non-Unity games, but many of those are flips too.

Well, it takes effort to flip a SellMyApp onto Steam. You have to open the template, build it, plug in your mobile ad accounts, and pay $100 to Steam to upload it. That's hard work.

Possibly but I can't find any template or asset to match it. Doesn't mean there isn't one, my quick search didn't yield anything on the usual places. A lot of this developers games are all pretty bargain bin titles with what looks like little effort done.

Yup, looks like this person took a GPL game and released it on Steam under their name, without permission of course.

Don't know why the maintainers of the code would close the issue. They own the IP (at least they're maintaining it) so they're the ones who should be contacting Steam to have this game removed.

The Battle Royale Simulator isn't a RPG Maker Game, it's a UnitZ asset flip (an old Unity template you can buy which is a full BR style game, complete with networking).

False. There's no bitcoin miner here. It's a UE4 project (that I've seen the source code to) and was a project this guy used for teaching his class(es) about game programming. I've followed this since the start. Someone is review bombing him.

I've gone through the code (that I can recover) and the network traffic the game uses. While I didn't run it for 6 hours like you say, can you please provide proof of this allegation.

Thanks for the links and info. I agree, this is a pretty poor effort with a lot of mismatched assets from the Unreal store. I can't speak about gameplay as I don't have the games, but it seems people say it's pretty bad too.

What leads you to this suspicion? What assets are being flipped here?

First off calm down. You asked about a tool and if someone can build it, that's great, but you can't build something without some kind of specification. How do you identify these creators that would get flagged? How do you rank them or specify what to show people? Where and how do you present the information? Where is the data going to come from and who's going to maintain it? You spout off like this is no effort (and quoted it would take a day of work). Feel free to go ahead then. Based on my own experience building websites, games, and software for literally decades, It's a lot more effort than you think. All the power to you if you want to go off and build this.
