There is no intended in-game feature that does that, so we can't help you.

If you really saw that, the guy is either cheating the game (unlikely, since there are anti-cheating measueres) or abusing an exploit (much more likely, because Engineer goes hand in hand with teleporting exploits).

Bunch of changes recently, I see... May I ask, at which period of the day the server is most active recently? Whenever I glance at the server, there are no more than 8 people connected, which generally isn't a game as funa s 12 vs. 12, and seeing as how there are so many changes being made recently, I'm guessing that the server is thankfully not dead, I'm just not logging in at the best possible time.

Nukes are destroying your team? Counter with the Pyro!
Pyros have shut down the best source of damage from your team? Keep the Heavy around him!
Heavies killing your actually very important Pyro? Snipe them! Backstab them! Shoot explosives! Which, in turn, could all be countered by the Scout.

It's a matter of one team attempting to outcounter the other one. One team is protecting a giant, the other team is protecting Pyros, which, in turn, protect everyone else.

I think Banshee adressed that on reply #2.

So, yeah, if one of the Tanks is just about to be captured on Hightower and it gets destroyed, it won't go back. If the enemy Tanks also gets destroyed, that Tank about to cap will promptly cap and win the game.

Ooh, that's cool. If I may ask, banshee, how will sloped ground affect the Tanks now that they have a fixed speed? I personally though of many things:
-They roll upwards at a slower speed. Seems the most obvious one.
-They take additional damage from all sources while at a slope. No speed loss.
-If a Tank is destroyed while at a slope, it will spawn at the beginning of the slope, thus being the only way to lose progress. No speed loss nor resistance debuff.
-There's also the obvious "Tanks aren't affected by sloped ground".

I disagree, if RED fails to destroy the Tank after the whole round, some extra mercy time at the end is not deserved.

I do agree that it's a bummer even to BLU team when RED is incompetent enough not to shoot the Tank enough for one whole round, however, properly balancing the game is important so everyone is having fun. The steam scramble that comes after a Tank cap is actually pretty damn important, giving RED an opportunity to destroy the Tank with one not-even-good-placed Sentry Gun will actually only make their situation worse. BLU might purposefully withdrawn from killing everyone around the Tank and deploy a Giant that is clearly beyond what RED can counter on a fair and fun game, followed by doing another round with one team just all around superior than the other team.

I repeat, I understand your frustation when you are about to play Giant and actually wishes RED to destroy the Tank but it caps with one pixel worth of health left. This happened to me, likely happened with you, it's the kind of thing that happens and, ultimately, is the most fair thing to happen.

If we're bringing how VALVe designed the gates into the discussion, I think we can end it at how VALVe designed the gates to stop most attacks from the game, but not all. It isn't any kind of server-side mod the fact that the Pyro can attack people behind walls, it's how VALVe designed it. Fair enough?

Giant Mega Bison Soldier. Still didn't play as him, but I'm guessing it is long-range combat oriented. Like, you can release a barricade of lasers on a specific place on the enemy team, earning even Crits, but the specific place can't be too much near you.
