Uuh, are you people familiar with two-round system voting? Wikipedia has a nice article on it (uuh, it's fine to post links, right?): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-round_system

In short, a map can only win the vote if over (or exactly) half the people playing on the server wants it. Most of the time, the next map is decided by ~35% of the server voting on it. This means that 65% of the server does NOT want that map., but couldn't decided what map they want in its place. Thus, a second round of vote should happen, where only that map and the second most voted map are put on vote. Some times, most of the server would be fine with that winning map, but other times, the map which got those 35% of votes is one that the remaing 65% abolutely DON'T want, and they would rather play on the second most voted map, even if it wasn't their original vote.

I'm sorry if this suggestion can't be implemented, but it surely would help when that one infamous Payload Race map gets picked when most people in the server are complaining about it...

Thanks, Banshee! Yeah, despite all my ranting above, I have not seen this happen much since. Although I still wish that specific capture point on Barnblitz did not summon the Giant if the next one hasn't been captured yet, but hey, just an opinion.

It would basically allow Facestabs. Rush into who you want to kill and Sap the person. Like, even if you're being obvious, there's nothing the people can do in most situations. This sounds just too unfun.

On bigger maps, the Giant Robot can spawn either at the last captured point, or the one behind it. What exactly determines that?

By the way, I actually would like to suggest, Giant Robots should always spawn at the penultimate captured point. It is really unfair when the Tank captures a point, gets destroyed immediatelly after and the Giant spawn right where the Tank was destroyed. Since the Tank drops money, that territory will be filled with RED players, likely with some Crits and a Medi-Gun shield. It is worse if the Giant in question is a support Giant, not an offensive one. Like, the Giant Heavy or Giant Soldier is likely to lose half its health, but Major League Scout and Giant Engineer might be curb stomped ON THE SPOT. A nice example of where this happens is on pl_barnlitz. If the second point is captured and the Tank Robot gets destroyed seconds later, the BLU team will be pushed back by the incoming Crits to a spawn that is slight far away from the point it just captured, which means they will likely not be able to help its Giant at all if RED has a decent amount of high damage per second classes. It would make more sense if the Giant spawned on the last capture point, which is just before BLU's spawn, so it would let the team rejoice without being unfair to the enemy team in any way.
