EGS - Alpha 6 - CV's HV's & SV's Class System (OLD)
CV's
XL thrusters can only be fitted to dropships for lift only.

=============================================

CV Weapons

Millitary Weapons:-
Artillery/Plasma/Rocket/Flak/Pulse Laser (Turrets)
Rocket Launcher/Pulse Laser (Mounted Weapons)

Non Millitary Weapons:-
Cannon/Minigun/Sentry Gun (Turrets)
(Dropship Falls in the Non Military Weapon Category)

Class size/Weapons list
Class 1-5 - Mounted Pulse Lasers/Pulse Laser/Flak/Non Millitary Turrets
Class 6 + - Can use any Turrets or Mounted Weapons
(Amount to determined by Inspection)

Class Size doubled is Turret limit until inspection (Could be more after inspection)

Freighter/Mining Vessels

Must Have 10+ Cargo containers/Harvester containers
Can have unlimited constructors, garden and food processors
Can have 2 Landing pads for SV's
Can have Mining Turrets (Does not count as gun turret placement)

=============================================

Millitary Vessels:

Military vessels can be Carriers(SV's)/Dropship(HV's) and Gunboats(Weapon platforms)
No constructors
No food processors
No garden
Can have up to 6 Cargo containers
Can have 2 Landing pads for SV's

*Dropship Turret limit:
4 Mini/Cannon Turrets,
2 Rocket Turrets(Must be on the top near the center area of the vessel)

HV's

Any HV can have up to 2 Minigun Turrets(Small) for defence against Drones/Predators
Any HV can have up to 2 Gatling Guns
Any more than this will make the HV a millitary vessel
Military HV can have 2 Artillery at max for any size

SV's

No limits as of yet :)

i think Milliraty should have 1 cargo contaniner for fuel and warp stuff ETC but you could keep it in the engine room

I would like to propose an idea:
Each faction is allowed one 'Flagship'. The flagship CV does not have to comply with any class rules, just the following rules:
- Turret limit based on size - set by TheeWolf upon inspection.
- No drill turret
- Is not allowed to enter planetary orbit even on home worlds.

The flagship is a one time thing, only one can be built ever and only one ship can be named the factions flagship ever. If the flagship is destroyed or captured, another cannot be built or named or declared flagship.

The flagship can be anysize contain any number of cargo, gardens, food production, constructors etc etc. It has no class or role specification so it can be carrier or battleship or both. It is your flagship it should be formiddible.

Still intreged by the flagship idea and not appossed to it but as of right now getting everything else sorted out first then will def revisit the Flagship for sure ;)

Thats cool. Given the way i think it should work, flagships would be a late game thing anyway. you wouldn't want to rush into building it given you can only ever have one. Better be the best damn ship you ever build.
