what do you think of this and what can be imporved?
Pros:
- Good detail
- Balanced amount of enemies
- Fun despite being rather short
- Awsome looking headcrab canister at the start (although it's backwards) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338083276
Cons:
- The part where you break a wall and jump on some pipes looked a little out of place, considering the player was in a heavily combine modified area https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338083386
- This tunnel looks really bad https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338083330
Improvements:
Retexture the pipe area. Make the pipes look like the ones in the citadel or make them look like some sort of combine steel, like this https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338083440 then remove the fence and add some shading to the large pipe as it is really close https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338083476 Finally, add some debris so it makes sense as to why the bottom area is exposed https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338083524
As for the tunnel, just style it better. Here are some options
Long (Make it an invisible wall or block it with cars)
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338088105
Combine
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338089639
Collapsed
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338090601
The only flaws I could find were details which I had to nitpick a little. Overall, a really fun installment of Kill Breen: Operation Manhunt!
The reason the pipe area isn't really combined is that you're fighting the EU.
Pros:
- Enemy placement is good, most have cover https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338745723
- Use of puzzles https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338740995
- Good details with the help of D-Props https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338743164
Cons:
- Non-versatile use of an addon https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338742918
- Puzzle hints were a bit unrecognizable
- Map change mid-way through series
- Required addons are not listed properly
- A liiitle too many supplies right after the first (second?) battle. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338741371
- The ending was not very solid. I couldn't tell if it was the end or not at first. (Just add a button that says "end" or something) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338742684 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338742811
Improvements:
Right off the bat I noticed you changed the map. If you are making a series, please try not to change the map. Stick to one for the whole thing, because if you don't, then you lose all the supplies, guns, health, etc from the last part. As for " Non-versatile use of an addon," just use the helicopter from Half Life 2 Episode 2. The blades aren't moving, and EP2 comes packed with plenty of content other than just the helicopter. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338743059 As for addons, just link them manually or link them with the "required addons" which is located at the side of the screen. As for the puzzle, add rope to the "blow this up" puzzles. Any HL2 player can recognize this. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338741232 Finally, get rid of two items after the first (second?) battle. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1338741533
Another short and sweet installment of the Breen hunting EU save series! Good work, I hope to see the next part soon (as in part 5 because I know there is part 3).
Pros:
- A bit of a break from the other parts, a little more scenic
- Cool camera effects
Cons:
- Addons not listed properly
- Most of the addons were not needed at all.
Improvements:
Just stick with the default models for guns. Like HL2 or CSS guns. Replace VJ zombies with normal zombies, then just use the "required addons" on the side or manually link them in the description.
Something a bit different than a normal course. You must find different people and headshot them.
feedback pleas?
Pros:
- Not as common (in a good way)
- Fun
- Simple
Cons:
- No real penalty for missing shots
Improvements:
Either add a 5 bullet ammo limit or construct huge invisible platforms which spawn enemies on the roof when you hit them. It's a small detail but it adds challenge to the save. Other than that, this was VERY fun to play! I used the HL2 crossbow and it made hitting shots more rewarding because I had to actually angle them. Good job on this one!
Pros:
- Lots of ships
- Effort put in
Cons:
- Could use more small details
Improvements:
Ok, so once I thought about it for a while, I came to the conclusion that this is just the kind of scene for space. BUT, it still needs small details. I don't care if it's a floating combine soldier or some workers loading weapons into some boxes, this scene just needs some extra life. Other than that, it's perfect for a space scene.
