I am really sorry to hear this Rillithain, I hope you will at least continue to play GMR games.

I can volunteer to take over the administrative stuff of the GMR League, I am pretty good at keeping track of things, managing excel spreadsheets etc, however I am not sure what to do about setting a website as I have zero experience on that front.

Furthermore, I would also lack in the subject of coming up with interesting theme ideas.

Therefore, I would be most useful if I am part of a team that administers the League, rather than be the sole admin.

It cannot be just me, can it? Tonight again I see that the site is extremely slow, but working. I check the site through several websites (isitdownrightnow, downforeveryoneorjustme, currentlydown), their report keep changing between up and down, so I deduce that there is some problem with the server.

Last night (10PM-1AM GMT+2) it was either down (was checking through isitdownrightnow) or up but extremely slow for me, kept fluctuating between these 2 situations.

Tonight, it is again extremely slow for me. Desktop Client takes forever to upload a save file, then it says it failed (asks me if I want to retry), but when I refresh game page (which also takes too long) I see that the save file was submitted and turn is progressed.

I am pretty sure that if I have selected the option of retrying the upload through the desktop client, we would end up with the situation of t GMR advancing the game twice; causing the player following me getting turn notification but upon downloading he/she will be presented with the password prompt of the player after him/her.

Down again :(

Thanks Tazzik, I am now able to find both the host info and the current turn info, looks good. I guess after a short time all players will get used to the new way.

How can you tell which player is the host when you look at a game in the web app? There is no "(host)" marking visible and mousing over a player's portrait does not bring up any info (like it does in the old GMR web).

I am guessing that the first player listed is the host (checked NulMaster's games), however, this then brings up another question, how can you tell whose turn it is?

Are there any news on GMR 2.0?

Good point. I am guessing as they are not tied to any CIV or Wonder, the below DLCs should always be unchecked when creating games for GMR (unless there is a specific reason to use them of course):

1) Explorer's Map Pack
2) Scrambled Continents Map Pack
3) Scrambled Nations Map Pack
4) Conquest of New World Deluxe (this might not matter as this scenario DLC came bundled with the Spain&Inca DLC)

The site is not really down, but at the moment, it is extremely slow for me.

Uploading save files is giving sometimes giving error;
accessing comments and messages either takes very long or not happen at all;
in some games people are reporting wrong turns;
when I get a wrong turn, reverting is taking forever (not sure if it is working or not).

Welcome to the League! Great to see more people join :-)

Although I can not take any more GMR games now (I am having a hard time keeping up with the roughly 40 I already have), I would like to suggest a couple of things to make it easier for you to find opponents:

1) Mention which Theme are you planning to play; we are now at Theme 15 which in fact is "reuse a theme", therefore 2v2 Themes available are 2 and 13, which are very different from each other.

2) As you look for a 2v2 game, announce who your teammate is (I am not sure if this is a requirement, but even if it is not, I believe it is better to let your opponents know your partner ahead of time).

I am looking forward to play a League game with you in the future (once I have reduced my GMR games to a more manageable number)
