Meme Vs Machines: First Impressions
Alrighty, i've played quite a bit of the Meme Vs Machine event and i've got a few things i would like to say:

Pros:
1. This event is the best one since CC, the levels are fun and the difficulty is hard enough to make everyone chill, unlike CC missions.

2.The potato medal is brilliant, 'nuff said.

3.Lots of these meme missions are a great laugh, who ever made the one with a tank on a Soldier's head really deserved his medal.

Cons:
1. The servers can get quite full at times, this reminded me of the early days of Canteen Crasher where it only had 5 servers and everyone is filling up all the slots in servers. (I know 30+ servers is a lot, but for a 1 week event everyone is going to fill them up like mad)

2. Sometimes the server would take forever to load into even with the asset packs, but this only happens with only with a few maps, i couldnt remember the map names though.


Thats all for now, this is a great event. Hope to see more of these in the future!

I haven't been able to get into a server after about a half hour of constantly refreshing. Its really full! There is a medal? I thought that it wasn't being distributed for a couple weeks yet.

I've been looking forward to this more than the "heavy update". At least this won't break the game and crash constantly. Right? ... Right?

The medal is done (completely modeled) you can see it in the latest announcement but it isn't in the game yet, it'll come with the next TF2 update, whenever that'll be.

I can't comment because even after 2 hours I couldn't find a server that wasn't full. Where were all these mvm fans during the last half of Canteen Crasher?

They've gotten their medals and stopped playing. Canteen Crasher has been a thing for 6 months. People got bored.

Just put a bunch of servers on auto-join. Your best bet of getting in faster.
Just dont forget to close the others down once you join.

Hey whenever I try to connect to a server through a website it just goes to the Steam Store. When i try to directly find a server through community servers, they say they need a password that I do not have. I really want to play this gamemode but I can't Please help!

Are you sure you're connecting through this page? https://potato.tf/servers
If you are then idk what's causing that, it should really not go to the Steam Store. Right now there's only 1 server that is password protected so the others shouldn't require a password from you. Keep in mind a lot of people want to join the servers so they fill up as soon as a slot is ready. Your best bet to join is to auto-join on several servers and close the others ones down once you join one of the servers (so it doesn't disconnect you out of your game to join another server).

Thanks for your concern, but yes I was using that website. I also tried to manually find "Poatato's Memes vs. Machines #69 or something. Any other ideas?

I know I am trying to join a server during the Meme vs. Machines campaign, but the servers are always so full.... We might need more time to get the medal because I did hear the campaign will end at April 3, 2019... If I am wrong, correct me on that.

The event ends on April 8th, not the 3rd.

I think there is a glitch with the progress system:

Once you start the round and made little progress, then reset the wave by vote, it probably keeps that percentage. Just wanted to point that out since it was little suspicious to me.

There's usually less people playing around 9pm-midnight, PST. Saw a couple empty servers during this time period yesterday.

Yeah, after the day I posted the previous one, the servers started to have space and completed all the tours and progress.

Yeah, sometimes when I join a server during the Meme V. Machine era, there are just players who takes way too seriously; at least that is the only thing I got as a minimal... Only tip I got for you when dealing with this is stick with what you are doing and assure you know what you are doing and adjust (after 1st fail) when needed.

Liked most maps. The shadow barnyard map sucked major donkey dick though, seriously. Would never willingly play it again.

I liked the invisible soldier idea and "The Void", but all the other stuff about that map? Pretty much not fun imo.
