How high will they go?
Since the market came out keys have skyrocketed. Surely these cant go up forever. When keys goes up everything goes up. If they keep going up everything would need to be regulated to match that.

Where do you see the end of keys skyrocketing?

That's not true. Most items worth more than a key have had no change in prices.

A key is still a key....if you buy higher priced items its still a key ;)....just in relation to metal its rising like shit....

It appears it's come to a halt, being relatively stable @ 4.00-4.11.

It would be nice for it to be 4 ref flat.

it just means it hard to trade for the key, making those items harder to get

this price was just accepted two days ago, too recent to call stable

TF2Finance had it listed between that range before the new price was accepted on bp.tf and it has stayed there ever since.

A good reason why keys keep going up is that people keep buying them higher and higher without ever using them; as a type of "investment". When you boil it down: Why would you sell your investment for less than what you paid?
What people dont notice is that the rising prices of keys just lowers the value of regular items because they are all that's really linked to real world money ($2.50 or 2.19 on the market now).

As key prices go up the amount of metal for an item worth a key is no longer 4 ref so they change the items value to the old key price in metal. So a team captain was worth 2 keys is now 5.33 ref (what 2 keys used to be). Therefore it's value went from about $5 to $3.33.

If you read any of this start here
Backpack.tf doesn't accept my trades when only 60% of people vote in favor of my price changes but they accept proposals with about that much opposition?: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/50cbc90aba2536e27c000017

They made the owner of spreadsheet a scammer when he raised the values on keys and buds but they let backpack raise the values with tremendous opposition from people who have experiance buying and selling these?

And yet there are a few key proposals that suggest lowering the price that actually have a positive voting record, are they accepted? No.

That's all thanks

Is there any part of that you'd like explained/defended?
In the defense if backpack.tf I looked at the owners inventory history of keys and didn't find any correlation between his keys and the price of keys. (I did a pretty half assed job though)

No, discussed too many times before, here and at backpack.tf.

Well obviously I was no part of that, do you have a link to those discussions?
The exact trading price for keys will stop at 4.16 ref

Why do you say that? people are asking 4.33 for theirs now, I have started a private steam group to use backpack.tf's bp histories to prove that when people say "I have sold 127 keys at 4.33" is a lie
