dota2 about 1 scrap.. bills hat ~8 key.
scamming by definition is by deciet: tretury... not force or else it wouldnt be a scam: get it? look up scam in webbsters taking something by force is stealing there is a difference... im not going to try to resell these... im eather going to give them away or do nothing with them... i refuse to do this to someone else
Is there anything i can do about this
of course i dont have any freaking screenshots... i am a trusting person... i dont expect people to do shit like this... fuck them and tf2... i quit... that was my first hat of decent value... im done... and someone tell steam to make a damn chat history because this is rediculous...

There is an inventory history, but a chat history? That would be highly inconvenient. I go through pages of chat a day. Valve themselves keep records, but they are private.

Perhaps create a support ticket and explain the problem. Valve may return the Bill's (as in duplicate it, and give you one), or they may not.
its worth a try i suppose...

I suggest always using outpost's search feature to check the market price of items and games. Its always a good idea to check the going price and other relevant information (sales, giveaways, promotions, etc). Sometimes using google can save you lots of value if you're willing to do some research.

Also, if you're using chrome (which I strongly recommend) try using this extension.[chrome.google.com] I personally don't follow price lists to any major degree, but it would certainly help to see all the average prices of items.

(It doesn't work on collector's items obviously, like #1 items etc.)
this person contacted me outside of outpost and made the offer... when they offered the game i thought it was a good deal but games are hard to sell sometimes... but then the offer of two games i couldnt pss up... i supose it should have raised a red flag... doubling offers... but alot of new players realy want a bills... i went through the faze... untill i got mine and later traded it for a damn game worth a scrap... i will find their acount name and post it. thanks for the support guys

Unfortunately not. By clicking "Make Trade" you agreed to the deal that was fulfilled. If he lied to you about the value and you got screenshots, he could be marked with a caution tag (or scammer tag, if he has done this before).

Could it be considered sharking though?

Not a scam, but you got sharked baaaaaaaaaad.

Valve will only return your items in rare circumstances when your account has been hijacked. They will not restore any items you traded, no matter the value. It was your responsibility to check what you trade for.

Err, no.

Although Valve do not support, for example, real world currency trading, some people have had their items restored. It is not a guaranteed situation, but it does occur.

Err, yes ;-)

What is Steam's policy on returning scammed items/gifts?

Steam will not return any items or gifts that you feel have been traded unfairly. There are no exceptions to this policy. All trades are final.

Why will Steam not return items that were scammed?

During the trade process, Steam asks you to confirm your trade multiple times. It is your responsibility to review the items that you are trading.

We will investigate your account to confirm the hijacking took place and restore any items lost during the hijacking. If we cannot confirm your account was hijacked we will let you know and not restore any items.
