If I increase the timeout any higher than it currently is, then all of the processes handling requests will start to fill up and cause a backlog. You see, when the process is waiting for data, it's still occupied and can't be used for another request. When all the processes are used, the backlog starts to fill up, which is what happens when you see a website respond really, really slowly to your requests. I'd rather have 90% of the website functioning with 50% of the backpack requests timing out than the website be totally unavailable/ridiculously slow.

This has been done to prevent scammers from using the website without logging in. It's not an inconvenience to sign in first, and 90% of people never sign out anyway.

If Steam is having problems then the backpacks will fail to load with that error. If the plugin is using a deprecated URL schema, well then it's up to them to update it.

Views are meant to be an indication to the trade owner of how much attention their trade is getting, why you would want to forge trade view numbers is beyond me. Regardless, it's already in the pinned sticky called "New Layout Discussion". You should probably have read that first.

Your homepage settings are saved across both sites. When you actually login to one of them, it will update your homepage filter to either TF2 or Dota. If you're already logged in on both, then visiting one or the other won't have an impact.

Looking into this, it seems to be working fine on my trades which is why I didn't pick this up during development.

This seems to be a Cloudflare issue, and it usually only affects a single page - it's like they cache the entire page and completely ignore the fact that you have different cookies. I cleared the cache, it usually fixes it.

The bots were actually full earlier, so the trade probably expired and you thought it said that the trade was successful.
