Steam rep doesnt really look at sharking reports (at this time), and will ask that people file those reports on an affiliated site such as AceFortress or Harpoon gaming.

not really, special cases where people had no idea things would become valuable were the bills and buds. you see the difference between 2011 and 2012 festives, once the gold rush is on, the stuff is no longer valuable, now 2012 festives are trash, and the robot chicken hat is no more than 1.33 ref.

im not sure what youre "not really[ing]" to. It sounds like youre saying that the tux wont be as valuable (which i agree with?). If youre responding to my first sentence about price rise with limited supply, its qualified with the second part about demand.

Several thousand I guess at least 4k? Its all subjective of course. To compare, i think burning TCs go for around $1400? and there are around 5 of them. (dont quote me on those figures lol)

rarest item in tf2? Vintage buds, vintage alien swarm. uncraftable buds, stock masters yellow belt and black rose. Hard to judge but those are some of the more valuable ones i can think of off the top of my head

While i agree that it is a reason for the highballing, if there are people who are looking to buy the special hats at marked up prices, its their prerogative. Serious collectors wont pay alot for craft hats with special levels because theoretically the supply for those craft hats is infinite. Vintages and MvM glitched items are a different story, i agree with you.

As for people buying leveled hats just to make a set for resale, thats a risk on their part, if it doesnt sell then they lose out. nothing wrong with it, if its too high the market will force them to back down. I can see your point though.

There are a few people who buy special levels, its about being in the right place at the right time. I think that in previous years special levels were more popular, but i think its slowed down imo. Its just how the market works.

Brokering is just asking for trouble imho. i think a good rule is, dont make trades with items that arent yours. Brokering services could be used to liquidate scammers, or circumvent a tf2op ban.
