Early Access Review
Love the game.
Excellent stylized graphics and animations.
Tons of interesting things to find and build.
Freedom to do all sorts of interesting aside from the main line quests.
New stuff being added all the time.

Main complaint is the online, cant even play a LAN game because microsoft does something fuky with their online connections and anyone not the host has massive lag.

Good game and enjoying the story, just wish it was optimized for PC.
Lots of stuttering and frame drops.
It isn't a hard game, the controls are just super janky. Like character rolling or shielding 2-3 full seconds after button press kind of jank.
If they could optimize it for the PC and do something about the controls this would be a 10/10 for me on this genre.
Right now id give it a 7/10 with little hope of it going higher, Dark Souls is known for being easy but having terrible controls so it prob wont ever be fixed.

Fun little game with its own complexities. Highly recommend if you want to burn some time without feeling like it was wasted.

Excessively pay to win. Like a mobile game.

Its an ok game and I sort of like it, too late for a refund, def not worth it at the moment, pretty much everything I liked about the first is completely gone here.
Level restrictions to combat and health bars ruin the fun little guessing game of what would kill enemies, now you know the outcome because you are a higher level or you are a lower level and cant properly stealth kill an enemy because they are 1 level higher than you.
Human enemies no longer drop their weapons.
The streets aren't packed with zombies anymore and the ones that are there are stronger, rather than swinging your way through a crowd with an axe, now you can just single out each enemy as you lazily walk down the road.
The lack of need to remain above the enemies kind of makes the parkour that carried over a bit useless outside of some instances.
On a personal level I don't really like the copy paste post apocalypse nature has retaken the land stuff. Zombies in a modern city was a lot of fun, now its a sort of last of us setting, and while I liked it there, if I wanted that I would just play last of us again.

I know it's a switch title ported to PC and the graphics aren't going to be great. But these graphics are so bland and washed out that it hurts. Shadow pixels can be counted on one hand.
The game play is pretty fluid and an improvement over MHW.
Cannot customize the controls to a scheme that I would prefer because actions are hard locked to certain keys. Just like in
MHW the default key layout makes no sense, like move camera with" o k l ;"
Still no fully voiced dialogue, Idk if they want to be retro or what but it is a major failure to me when modern games especially from billion dollar companies cant get a fully voiced conversation despite already paying for the first line to be read.
This game would be worth it at 20$ so ima refund and wait for a sale, since I am still having fun in MHW I dont mind waiting.

Still better than cyberpunk 2077 in most areas.

Early Access Review
Love the game, lots of fun and easy going.

Don't think the dev. knows how early access games are supposed to be:
1. Don't talk to anyone or the community.
2. Update once every 4-6 months.
3. Lackluster and minor additions on updates.
4. Charge $40-60.
They refuse to do any of these.

I got this a while back and refunded it, looks like my review was removed, so i'm reposting it after getting it free on epic and playing again after a long while.

Its not good.

Extremely limited gun variations as far as I have seen. Not wasting money on dlc to see if there are more.
There is nothing realistic about the hunting, you aren't given a certain animal you can hunt, you are given some guidlines but nothing to stop you from bringing death to everything you come across.
As a hunter I can tell you most animals do not sense you from a mile away because you aren't crouched down and slowly crawling.
The crawling is awful, unless you are massively overweight or fused to a dining room chair, then you will never be as slow as this hunter crouch walking, it is useless, in a game like this where animals disappear after a certain amount of time, you cant be crouching and stalking a wounded animals.
There are numerous clipping issues.
The weather switches within seconds, I had it go from bright mid day to rainy afternoon to foggy morning over the span of a minute and then stay dense fog for the next 10 min.
Animals when shot, even vitally will run off at mach speed and either be fine and keep running at a breakneck speed zigzaging all over the place, looked more like glitching out to me due to the sharp turns without foot movement animations, or the animal will just disappear all together.
I suggest if you miss an animal or don't kill it outright, forget about it, it is gone.
Then there is the dlc, this is the train simulator of hunting games. 130$+ for everything and my lord is the base game lacking, so of course you want to play something other than a bland lake or a bland forest.
I am comparing this to an old hunting game I played on my computer in the mid 90's which had, many items for hunting specific animals, permits and rules to hunting, a shooting range to test the large amount of hunting rifles/shotguns/pistols/bows and to adjust the scope, all the hunting vehicles you need for the many terrains and maps you could hunt on, and all at the price of this games base cost.
