" I don't review games that I haven't finished, but I checked the steam reviews after playing through the first level. Are these reviews bought? This is actually insane. Some of these reviews have equal playtime, so who cares. I hope the people posting these reviews were paid for them, I can't imagine doing this for free. If you did this for free you should feel bad.

Half of the reviews for this game read like ad reels. Go ahead, read through them, then come back. The other 80% have common language between them that makes me feel like I'm going insane. This game is perfect for relaxation, good for brain relax, chill your mind, childhood shooter, retro 90s shooter. This is all very typical of games that buy their reviews. The ad reels are so blindingly obvious I didn't even think it was worth mentioning them. Nobody on steam praise vomits this hard, not even the paid shills. And also the game is not very good.

The game plays poorly. Guns have no feedback. It's okay for the revolver to feel like a fart in the wind but the shotgun is a whoopee cushion at best. You can barely tell when a shot connects because enemies lack damage states and have confusing death animations. Some sound effects just feel missing from combat ... especially regarding transitioning between enclosed arenas -- enemies could have really used a distinct spawn sound and clearer death sounds. The end result is shooting nerf guns at foam targets until they fall over and maybe die. I usually wouldn't say harsh stuff like that about the core gameplay loop, but what I'm getting at is this plays like shovelware. Not going to comment on the level design because of the aforementioned lack of completion. The game performs pretty well. I had a few stutters while the level loaded, but it's not a problem. Texture work on the weapons is pretty nice, and the game generally looks OK. It is 26.5GB though. Again, I played the first level of this game before taking a long hard look at the steam page to see what exactly I just got conned into. I guess the game could magically fix all of the issues above after the first level.

This is a "retro" "90's" shooter which is basically just shorthand for lower budget productions emulating the older style of first person shooters popular in the 90s and early 2000s. Nothing wrong with that -- DUSK and Ion Fury are great examples of games that surpass their inspirations. This isn't that, though. This game has way more in common with serious sam, which is more like a horde arena shooter than DOOM/quake/whatnot. I liked that game (and painkiller, as some reviews point out ...) but it's not a "retro 90's shooter" and anybody reviewing it is going to catch onto that really fast.

I was going to go down the abyss for this game but it just isn't worth it. I don't know what's going on here, but it's not very cool. It looks like it was spawned out of a kickstarter project, and it also looks like they mostly delivered on what was promised -- good for them. If you're the developer and have some kind of proof that everything I just said was wrong and I'm a stinky poopoo head, add me on steam. Feel free to set your bots on this to downvote it to the bottom of the review page like a redditor, though. I won't be mad. "

All it said, nothing more, nothing less. I agree with him with all points. But i give him a chance for more update...

Update: The game is really super cool... at this stage of development, it is playable and hyper immersive thank you devs <3 With the new update, they have adding more content and maps, correcting some bug on area 12, and now he is amazing, even if it's an alpha. Just a problem that i think it very dangerous, the quality of the server : if you want to play coop (other than LAN servers) its very complicated, because in one case you're probably lost the connection of the server OR if you're die, sometime the game just don't let you respawn (even for the checkpoint) and you will be stuck at the menu...

Frankly, this game is rekindling my faith in video games. It reminds me of the good old days, with the saga of the first F.E.A.R. games, where you went from fear and jumpscare to fighting soldiers. This game isn't perfect, there are still things missing in my opinion, like being able to lean next to a wall or the fact that it's short and there aren't many weapon accessories. The Dlc was awesome too to do. Thanks Trepang Studios and Team17, to make this game. I love your game. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to follow the development of game by discord and the honor to play it (Beta and the game). I am fulfilled.

Ps : this game has some really exceptional tactical soldier skins, including one that looks like the H.E.C.U marines from Half Life, and I personally love it XD

PS number 2 : if you're a fan of secrets, make a particular look at the safe house... i promess you won't be disappointed...

The most promising game yet, in terms of survival, immersion and combat. Better than ground branch on many points, however it doesn't have co-op or multiplayer yet (which is a shame) but that doesn't take away from its charm. Honestly you like Arma, you like this game <3 (sry for my english XD)
