Found this game when they released the Halloween update for the demo, and sunk a good 10-15 hours into the demo alone. Still rolling with the same teammates I started with. Brock is great, just replies with "Bruh" in different ways.

The developer thinks women go to grocery stores, hoping un-masked men will seduce them in the dairy aisle. I enjoy your game, but I don't care about your political opinions, chief. Go share that ♥♥♥♥ on social media.

The game is fun, but lacking in many areas: I have completed almost the entire game in my time played. They claim that what's implemented is a fraction of the full game, yet they are very much charging hefty prices for this "Early Access" title already: Your party can hold up to 5 human players, or 2 AI (and you). You can pay $15 for a 4th AI party slot, and $30 for a 5th AI party slot. However, like everything else in this early access, all your companions levels and stats are hard-capped at somewhere between 5-15. Your level is capped at 25. Your land exploration skills, your gathering skills, AND your combat skills are all hard capped fairly low, under the guise of "early access". The map is tiny for an MMO. There are hardly any animations in the entire game. Once you've reached the endgame, it's pretty much a timer simulator, where many of the best resources have SINGLE nodes in the entire world, and some of the timers are as long as 3 days until you can collect again.

I enjoyed this game, I just can't recommend it with such little content while charging full prices for things like companion slots, skill slots, item capacities, etc. If you want to play for free, have fun. If you end up paying like I did, you'll feel robbed after you reach the end-game which basically doesn't exist.

EDIT: The servers are highly questionable also. I mostly left this issue out of the review, because the server provider isn't the same as the game developer. However the dev chose the servers for their game, and they're trash. Half the days you want to play you will be disconnected every 30-60 minutes and have to restart, unless they've fixed it.

If you have friends, it's fun with them. If you're a solo player, your time is better spent on a solo-friendly social game like Town of Salem. Public lobbies consist of random people shouting colors, half of which are lies by trolls, with absolutely no evidence or even a location given. It's not even close to being as fun as other social deduction games, because every lobby is full of mentally incapacitated players who rarely talk and randomly vote with no rhyme or reason. Then there's the hosts, who typically ruin the game with ridiculous custom options like insane speed, impostor can kill every 10 secs, really high/low vision, and won't hesitate to kick you from the lobby if you say one thing about their rules. Also hosts sometimes protect their cheating friends, by allowing them to play in their lobby while kicking players who call out the obvious.

Speaking of cheating, there are tons of ways to exploit and abuse this game, including editing a simple text file within the game's Steam folder to make sure you are always the impostor. I have also met hackers who have insane speed, no kill time limits, and can instantly skip voting so they never lose. How this is fun, I will never know. But a lot of people do it, and it makes the game horrible. Play Town of Salem instead.

A fun sports title that you can play for 5 minutes or a couple hours. It has that addictive "one more game" thing going for it. It's easy enough to learn, but takes a while to get pretty good at. Once you do though, the games are pretty intense and it feels pretty fun, almost like a Rocket League version of Pong. I say Pong because your main goal is to get the disc into the endzone behind your opponent(s), so it's not quite like tennis.

The game isn't perfect though. Sometimes the connection is a bit laggy to other players, but it wasn't a big issue during my playtime. Right now there's a decent amount of people playing, but I have also seen a lot of the same players. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a match after the free weekend though. There is an option to purchase in-game currency, but it's the same currency you can earn by playing. I've already unlocked 1/2 of the locked characters, and bought quite a few of these gacha balls that unlock skins, titles, victory poses, etc. just by playing the game.

Overall I'm not sure I'd pay $14.99 for it, but at it's current sale price of $8.99, I'm heavily considering it.

My Time At Portia plays something similar to Stardew Valley, but with a visual style more akin to WoW. Instead of being centralized around farming, you're given a workshop, and crafting everything is what this game is about. Your workshop is competing against 4 other workshops, which I really enjoy, as it gives the game more purpose than similar titles.

For an Early Access title, there is plenty of content already. The crafting system is more in-depth than I assumed it would be. All the systems are there, from marriage/relationship meters to RPG-like stats and leveling. There are constantly things to be doing, and this game is very addictive, leaving you wanting to play day after day. The game world expands as you build and upgrade things for the townsfolk. You can even build a transportation system that makes getting around the fairly big world much more convenient.

There are a few drawbacks, but not many I can think of. The world already boasts more NPCs you can interact with than most games of this type, but the size of the world is also much bigger. The world is somewhat lively, but it can be improved. There is only one holiday in the game currently, but it's a fun one that has you and the rest of the town chasing an airship as it drops gifts into town. Also there are quite a few grammatical errors currently. I'd be happy to correct the English in this game and make it 100% accurate if the developer gave me the opportunity, and a spot in the credits.

All in all, if games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley are games you enjoy, you will definitely enjoy this game as well. It's well worth the money in it's current state.

I would recommend trying this game, but not getting too invested into it. It's a unique idea, basically playing as a flash version of all your battle royale games, with a little RPG on the side. The game itself is quite fun. You run around a map, going to specific areas in hopes of finding specific items, whether they be weapons, armor, cooking materials, or crafting materials. There's also experience, so while you're trying to build your equipment set you're also needing to fight other players or monsters to level up and gain weapon mastery. Without the experience to back it up, an awesome weapon still won't save your life.

Unfortunately, that last sentence is also why I recommend not getting too invested into this game. Unless you're willing to memorize every item that benefits you and how you can use it to upgrade, you're already playing too slowly. There are Chinese players in every match that, no matter how hard you try, will always be stronger than you. Even with one of the best weapons in the game, I was hitting a guy for 40 - 50, and he hit me for 80+ no problem. There is also a lot of RNG in this game. Low inventory space and required crafting means you need to manage space carefully, and finding specific items can take 2 turns or 20 in an area. You could get lucky and find multiple rare blue crafting items, or never come across a single one in a run.

All in all, the game is fun though. I would still recommend trying it, even though it requires a lot of speed and some luck to come close to winning a match.

Pick from multiple rifle classes, a captain, flag-bearer, surgeon, carpenter, or musician, and join the war as the British or French. Holdfast is the type of game where you want to be very careful with your shots, because reloading a musket takes a long time and leaves you vulnerable in the process. To compensate for this, most shots will kill instantly if they hit. This means that the most effective ways of killing your opponents are to form lines, or rotate shots with other players. The game is fun, but can be a bit tedious since most of the time you're either aiming a shot, or reloading.

The community makes this game much more engaging. Often when you spawn, people will be forming groups to reinforce current battles, or start their own. When you get a group that actually listens, you can form a solid line and accomplish more than you could by yourself. Also you are guaranteed to hear at least one baguette reference if you're on the French side. You do get some players who enjoy blasting music as loud as possible, but the P key opens up a mute menu where you can look for the green speakers next to names (green implies they are using their mic), find that player, then mute.

There are a few downsides to the game:
1) There is no auto-balancing of teams, which leads to one side having 10-20 more players than the other.
2) Some of the maps are unbalanced as well. There is one map where the French start next to a giant hill, and they will tend to camp that hill and take shots from it the entire game, and they will win because the British have hardly anything on their side of the river.
3) The melee mechanics could definitely use some work. There's a hint of Mount&Blade combat here, but due to most hits being 1-hit kills, nobody tries to use the blocks. Everyone spams attacks and prays. Like the gunplay, your best chance at hitting is to slightly lead your opponent and hope your weapon follows them.

Overall, this game is worth the money IMO. If you're on the fence about it, I'd advise watching a few Youtube gameplay videos. That's what convinced me to give it a shot.

It's an MMO, and a pretty fun one. Try it. I'd recommend joining the Chimera server despite what the game recommends, as Chimera seems to be the more active of the two. If you want the best damage, I'd recommend Shinobi with Bard as 2nd class. Also I am fairly active on Chimera, though it varies from week to week. My main is Aethsir, feel free to add me if you have any questions or are higher level looking for someone to do quests with.
