There will never be another game like this. So poetic and heartfelt, with many existential layers about humanity and life itself, the generational trauma, having mercy and forgiving the ones that might be beyond forgiveness. Resisting at any cost, no matter who gets hurt along the way. Dancing when the world is collapsing around you and there's simply nothing left to do, knowing that death is imminent.
Nobody is free from regrets, sacrifices, terrible mistakes and consequences. Push forward and remind yourself to let go when needed. Sometimes, you just don't fit in the backpack.

It's a short and spooky mystery about self discovery and coming to terms with your traumatic past. This is one of those unreliable narrator tropes in which our MC Loraine is pretty depressed about something and oozing with guilt about her past for her parents.
Although it's pretty rough around the edges, the twist was predictable and the voice acting was pretty robotic; it felt atmospheric and I couldn't help but sympathize with Loraine and Mary.
You could tell the dev was inspired by Silent Hill and\or Alice in Wonderland. The story is good but it just needs a little more polishing.

I was SpoocledMacBoogled ((that's for sure))
So many moments gave me the heebeegeebees. The best (or worst) part is that the fungus that turns cicadas into zombies is real :o

Mommy, can I go out and kill tonight?
Rip the veins from human necks
Until they're wet with life
Razor-blades love teenage flesh
An epidermoty
I'll bring back a souvenir
For it's my mommy's dream
Can I go out and kill tonight, kill tonight
Killed a girl on lovers' lane
I kept her toes and teeth
Every night I stalk around until I find my keep
I'll bring back a souvenir
For it's my mommy's dream

The writing and atmosphere of this little game just sucked me in like a hole! Now I just want to cuddle up and stay in this hole forever.
Simple and without jump scares, still pretty darn terrifying.

This could've been a decent game if it wasn't taken so seriously. The story was trying to be complex and twisty, there was drama and politics that nobody was asking for. I felt like I was wasting time watching a reality show. Every town was essentially the same, and the conversations between characters weren't interesting. And the devs of the game kept making appearance, talking about their work and how brave and important it is to be an indie developer and surviving on coffee. This game should've been 3-4 hours tops. All endings sucked, in fact the endings don't even end. The routine just keeps playing out whether you got the "good" or the "bad" ending. And what do you learn from the game? That we're all monsters in a way? Didn't need to be that long to get that point across, imho.

I thought it had potential at first, but it flopped big time. It just felt like a "Stranger Things" ripoff (the title of the game, the sci-fi, the kids) . You (the human race) join the good alien forces to defeat the bad aliens for no reason. The story was weak, the characters didn't have any memorable personalities and the dialog was so boring that I ended up eventually skipping it. It was full with references from the 80's and it was a huge focus of the game since it couldn't offer anything else. It was basically a big "fetch quest" game. There was no story or character development much, the ending was abrupt, and the good alien basically said "long story" so we didn't learn anything from the alien invasion. I only got 1 ending (the good one) and usually I like seeing other endings, but I didn't bother with this game. Even in the end the MC Vinny is breaking the fourth wall and starts kissing аss to the 80's. Stop the cringe.

I played a really fun, memorable indie game called "The Big Con". Although, the setting is the 90's, that wasn't the focus of the game and it was just a hundred times more charming and had a good story and characters at least. It wasn't a complete cringe unlike "Unusual Findings".

This one tries too hard to be "Life is Strange". Also, body-swap trope is the worse trope ever created. There's not much story or character development going on, the characters are actually pretty unlikable. The dialog choices say one thing, but the characters say something else completely. There's a lot of redundant walking going on. Every time there's a scene change: go for a walk. Every time there's a chat between some characters: chat during your walk. Take your father on a walk to the park. Walk your kid to school. Walk to work and then walk back home from work. That kind of gameplay gets dull way too fast. The environment is somewhat pretty but what's the point if you can't interact with anything? The voice acting is pretty bad. Most of the time they speak so quietly you can barely hear anything. Emma is freaking annoying. I get that she's a cop but does she really need to wear her uniform and weapons 24\7? The mystery stays a mystery, nothing gets figured out in the end. The only interesting chapter was the last one just because there was a huge scene change but it just felt like a Narnia rip off or something. Meena didn't redeem herself, imo. And then a character called "Jack" (and he's a game dev in this game) says this: "Not traditional games like shooters or RPGs or free to play stuff. My team makes empathy games. It's art really. You know, games which say something about the human condition? Cutting-edge stuff?" -- Okay, "Last Stop" is not that deep or artful... "cutting-edge"?

The devs never disappoint - another tearjerker! Every time I play one of their games, I end up crying.
Beautiful story and a bittersweet ending.
To be continued...?
