They've been lazy but I have to admit they've finally done a good amount of work to improve and expand the game lately. It was worth its price before and it's worth it even more now.

Out of all the Lovecraft-inspired games, this one is probably the most faithful to his writing.

If you want to experience the game correctly though, get a few mods to fix the game-breaking bugs and broken shaders.

For your first playthrough, go the total Madness/Occult route and ending. It's seriously better the first time around. Do a "rational" playthrough the next time.

As everyone knows, this game isn't very scary, for many small reasons that add up. The horror scenes are too well-lit, the animations are pretty bad, and the voice actors, despite being good, weren't guided properly and don't say their lines in the appropriate tone for the context (reminder to all devs how important this is...).

But despite that, it's well-written. It's immersive, the environments are gorgeous, the sound design and music are great.

This isn't the best Lovecraft-inspired game out there, but for any fan, it's a must-play nonetheless.

Poetic, dramatic, wholesome and depressing tale, one of the most interesting games about World War 1. The ending is messy though, but the journey is memorable and will certainly prove educative.

One of the gloomiest games I've ever played, it depressed me playing during the current pandemic and I loved it. Awesome writing and themes, unexpectedly great ending.
