The port of this to PC has not been done correctly. There are unusual framerate and input issues that are inconsistent. If you have played the Mega Man series before you will find yourself baffled as to how many time you'll be hit by projectiles you know you would have dodged, not jumping to the height you know pressing the jump button should take you, finding enemies slow down or speed up their attack patterns randomly where a jump that was timed perfectly is circumvented. Ladders have unusual behavior, they are much slower and trying to drop and shoot on them is difficult as the controls don't seem to be very responsive. Quick Man's stage the lasers were quite literally impossible to get through without using the Flash Man weapon.

The only improvement this collection has over the original games on the NES is that the slowdown is minimal. Everything else feels off, and that makes it virtually unplayable as a precision platformer. The Anniversary Collection from nearly 20 years ago also has more content than this. I've compared this to the console version and there is something particularly flawed with this version. It may be based on your own specs, but as it stands I could not complete Mega Man 3 out of frustration and dealing with these issues in the first 2 games. Finding myself playing worse than I ever have because the controls feel off, no support for direct USB, no volume control, and none of the glitches or bugs in the original games were ironed out so infamous errors like the cloud platform pushing you off the edge in Snake Man's stage in Mega Man 3 are still present.

Precision platforming requires precise controls, and this port is only slightly off, but that's the difference between playing well and having fun and playing with a handicap and being frustrated at jumps and slides you know would have worked if the game were running properly

Very short game, so the price I think is a bit too high however this is a nice game. The story is simple although this might appear like one of those artschool dropout games where the devteam are insufferable ♥♥♥♥ making a pretentious product while living off their hedgefund. The puzzles and control in this game obviously had care put into them and it's quite unique and entertaining. There really could have been more to this world, it's incredibly interesting the locations you see and what characters you interact with, it just makes you wish there was more because this game can be completed in an afternoon. Not saying it'll leave you with something to think about or make you want to replay, but I don't think you'll like it

Thoroughly overrated trash. A total insult to the series, thinks it's smarter than you are while having a gigantic caved in head plothole and character inconsistencies make the story annoying, especially when you get to the end and it is actively antagonistic to the audience and the medium. A prime example of pretentious tripe. This game has less variety and actual gameplay than Call of Duty full stop. If you've played the previous BioShock games you will find this extremely disappointing and wonder why they cut the majority of the content in those games for a pseudo-escort mission, and this game insults you for having played the previous games

Total cringe nihilism, Rick and Morty redditor story and weak gameplay that makes you wish you were playing any other shooter because at least it would be designed better and have more options and better gunplay. Do not trust the positive reviews this pile of crap gets, it is does not warrant the praise it gets and many people regret having done so given time

Buyer beware

Short game, level design is meant more for d-pad movement but keys don't suffice, nor does an analog stick, you end up having to correct your diagonal movements and that's not unplayable or anything but the game really could have been designed more fluidly. It's okay, but it is overrated. Not a game I have the desire to replay, but it was entertaining for the most part. I guess the best way to describe it is imagine it's the handheld version of a triple A title, hopefully you get what I mean by that

Classic. The go to example for remakes. It doesn't replace or insult the original game. I think if you play this game you'll find out why it's such an iconic part of video games and popular culture. Something I will say is like the original, there isn't much of a reason to play Chris' campaign, it's supposed to be more challenging but instead it's less story and character interaction, and with a smaller inventory space you end up doing far more resource management and backtracking to the item box, this is especially frustrating on Survival mode

The biggest problem with this version of the game however is the cerberus. They are just unfair, even on the lowest difficulty they are too fast, take too much health, and you can no longer stun them with pistol shots, you basically are relegated to using the shotgun to deal with them, they are more of a threat than any other enemy and it's unreasonable, so if you played the Gamecube of Wii versions you will more than likely die or burn through more resources when you encounter them

Also this game has handicap controls for the pansies that refuse to learn tank controls so I guess if you're cringe you can use those instead

This is unacceptable. This game is is a major disappointment, not even remotely close to the previous entry. Content is cut, gameplay has been 'streamlined' like the knife being nerfed and no longer a subweapon

Jill and Carlos look like they belong in a Netflix show, this game reeks of corporate intervention, quotas, and is a rush job. It isn't broken or unplayable, but if you played the demo, you have without exaggeration seen everything the game has to offer and will have played 1/5 of the total game

I'm sorry if you take offense, but the positive reviews make light of the issues this game has, basically ignoring it's problems. I would suggest you look up a playthrough and decide for yourself, $60 is too high, this game is unfinished and undeserving of your money
