It's a massive improvement to 5, but still feels much watered down from 4. Especially the political side of things, which I personally play Tropico for.

EDIT: Original review below was based on approximately 10hrs of gameplay, I'm now around the 30hr mark so going to update my thoughts.

*ALL* of my original criticisms have disappeared since leaving the "starting island". Item variety has increased dramatically, as has enemy diversity. The world really opens up, a new enemy type keeps you on your toes and I feel like, finally the game has found its feet. Very pleased.

Having a blast. Heavy on atmosphere, light on stress. Until combat, which is kinetic and satisfying and brief. Could use a few more roaming robitz, felt like we're being a bit ignored - the BETA was a bit more aggressive, but hopefully that'll be something that's addressed

Needs a tutorial, but other than that - Transport Fever meets... Communist Banished maybe? I dunno. Great stuff though!

I don't have a VR setup but it hasn't dulled my enjoyment of the game at all. First train sim I've ever purchased and it's a gooden. Recommended for fans of the genre

Took a risk, £25 was steeper than I expected, but very pleased I did. Happy to support the devs through EA, if they continue to build upon whats here with the same level of quality this game will be an absolute must for fans of the genre

I don't understand all the hate. Great game from what I've seen. It's no click-fest-diablo-clone, which I'm perfectly happy with, it's a slower but no less dangerous ARPG with a solid Warhammer 40k theme throughout. Classes took some getting used to, but the variety of equipment on offer is generous and allows for some drastically different builds without having to respec. Recommended
