The entire intro was an eyeroll with how many times "capitalism bad" is thrown around. Really tells you how the rest of the game is after.

Very mid shooter that brings nothing new to the table. Destruction is cool, gamemodes suck, game feels very floaty.

Where do i begin?

Negatives:
-Intro doesn't hit as hard as the OG, this is cause of the tone all the characters give. Nicole not being in distress, the crash landing, the amount of useless dialogue in the intro even.
-Kendra as a character was changed and her original VA was axed for not looking the part
-Issac needs his mouth taped shut, i'm sorry but i'm actually tired of all the useless dialogue i have to hear from him, and all the useless dialogue from others since he now talks
-game stutters when progressing into new areas
-performance is a joke even with FSR. 60-80fps medium, really? there are games that look leagues better and have better performance than this without the need of FSR
-Game will often softlock, I've had 4 of these in my 2 hours of playtime.

Positives:
-Game looks better as well as audio design is improved in some ways.

Genuinely was excited to be met with a bunch of changes that hinder my experience with the game and irritate me more than make me happy. Personally wish this franchise stayed dead, but i guess i'll have to watch one of my favorite franchises be mutilated down the road.

Game barely runs on my system despite me using FSR. Quality/Performance mode you see absolutely no change in performance AT ALL, and i'm not using Performance mode just so i can maybe squeeze a few more frames out of an already poorly performing game. The fact i'm expected to edit a config file as well to fix other problems makes this asinine.

Maybe if the game gets fixed eventually and goes on sale will i return to play it, but until then i have other games that perform well i could play.

i'm not going to lie, everything besides witch queen has kinda sucked, the raids are nice, but seasonal content has been such a drag that i have barely put any time into any of the seasons. First season was bearable, but haunted and blunder feel so dry and crap to play that i haven't even bothered. I don't even want to know what next season will bring, but i feel sorry for those who pre-ordered lightfall with how dry this years seasons have been so far. Oh and also cause Bungie doesn't wanna just bite the bullet and enable battleye for proton, so you can't even play it on steam deck unless you install windows on it. pretty lame!

Genuinely i wanna like destiny 2, but this year is a drag and last year was great. maybe next year?

Edit: played again recently, still the same but has more predatory microtransactions!
