Seem like a fun game, but I can't say I recommend it for VR

This game may be 8 years old, but there are still tons of bugs and questionable mechanics that the devs have implemented.

The one you will come across the most is that in your "Log" which contains all the current quests, the game only updates the quest for which you have selected in the log. So it's entirely possible you might complete some objective for a side quest and not realize it for days because the log won't update it's progress unless you select the quest.

Another is the terrain complexity cap. If you modify terrain for you base then go off mining or digging in the ground to find buried loot, then eventually the modified terrain at your base will reset. This is because you can only modify so much terrain, and thus the oldest modifications will be reset once you reach the cap. (this can be mitigated by using the "restore" option on the terraforming tool)

Probably one of the best free VR games out there. I wish there was more too it though. The underlying story is exceptionally well done and could be expanded on to make this more than a 30 minute session

Really cool assets, but can't place the stations 90% of the time. The game will claim "space already occupied." There is a work-around: rebuild the road a thousand times until you can magically place the train station.

Great remake of the classic Risk game, however I didn't know it was possible for people to repeatedly win 1-20 odds until now Needless to say, the dice mechanic is scuffed

I really enjoy the base building.

I wish more game used the various AI "story teller" mechanics that RimWorld uses. It's a much different experience than just make the the AI stronger. Instead it completely changes the flow of the game to pace with what you prefer.

As the colony get's bigger, micromanaging the AI can become tedious. There are mods that help.

Amazing aim trainer with great scenarios and stat tracking but QOL still needs a lot of work. Unfortunately you wont find an aim trainer with better tracking and target switching scenarios than this one.

EDIT: I stand by my statement. The menu is finicky and unintuitive, and you are required to use v-sync because screen tearing is so bad

Why this this game so adorable? The story isn't life changing, but it's a tear-jerking tale.

I want to take a moment to note how well the game is designed. From the moment you start playing, you are never told how to play. But everything is so intuitive that you can just figure it out. From the map design, you will always know where you need to go even though there aren't any arrow that clearly indicate so. The use of color, props, and music all aid the player in the progress of the game.


Runs great! The game was designed for controller from the get-go so no trouble there.
