Early Access Review
Don't get me wrong, this is a great game with a lot of new content added over the years, but through that it has also lost a lot of what it used to be.

Hunts are no longer as straight forward as running to the nearest corner/closet after breaking LOS from the ghost. It would be nice if there was a custom difficulty option to enable/disable some of the new difficulty features (including adjusting/disabling limited stamina).

VR is also bugged with Oculus as object orientation in your hands is off.

Awesome story, especially toward the end. Also some great modeling and lots of side bits of information to collect about the story.

But there is still much to be desired. The most glaring issue is that there are some physics mechanics in game that don't seem like they would hold up in real life (i.e. heavier gravity in buildings than in a vacuum, water on moon behaving the same as on earth, etc.). There are also some graphical/lighting issues that detract from the game. There are also a couple of minor plot holes.

tl;dr
One of the few good story games in the past 5 years. No game is perfect, but this is far better than most.

Probably one of the most diverse and balanced RTS games of it's type. There is no RTS game that provides this much depth without requiring a textbook to play. Anybody can pick up this game and understand the ins and outs within their first session.

The devs also take pride in their community involvement. The workshop greatly expands the replyability of this game by creating new units, maps, and missions.

Overall, the gameplay feels a lot like Company of Heroes 2. However, the AI is absolute trash.

Conquest:
The devs treat it like its their baby, but in reality they just threw it in the dumpster. AI has seemingly infinite resources and an endless pool of infantry. Steam Discussion say winning is a mere legend.

Skirmish (why we play):
Regardless of difficulty, AI will pools its resources and sends one massive wave toward the objectives. AI difficulty affects what type of units they choose (easy=infantry, medium=light, hard=medium/heavy, heroic=armor). It makes no attempt to attack you the player. Thus if I play on, say, hard, the AI will pool its resources and then blitzkrieg the objective.

Summary:
Since the AI only focuses on the objective, you very quickly learn their pathing in all the maps. So you can easily funnel the AI (using barbed wire) into machinegun fire--that's assuming the AI is using infantry and not tanks. Otherwise, if the AI is using tank, they will just camp their spawn and snipe anything that comes in view before steamrolling the objective.

Steam discussions are filled with improvements that need to be made (which the devs do read and respond to), but the devs keep adding broken content we don't ask for.

Call to Arms was taken out of Early Access several years ago, but it very much still in development.

DO NOT BUY

Neat concept, but just another forgotten "Early Access" title. There are literally menus that say "TODO" on them! I can't believe this game hasn't been removed from the store.

For an indie horror game 8/10
(loses points for poorly translated English dialogue and other knit-picking)

I bought this expecting to get a laughable horror game. While some of the animations did end up being pretty funny, the story is pretty good for what it is. The single dev obviously put his heart into the story. Also, the art and music is good.

Worthy to check out if you have a couple dollars to spare.

UPDATE:
I played this game a second time and I wanted to note something that all the negative reviews don't seem to realize: the dev is an excellent visual story teller. The dev did a great job and using lighting to help the player complete puzzles. Also, there are some other subtle sounds and visual queues that are worth noting but I won't tell because they spoil the story.

Beautiful F2P horror game. Nice and linear for casual players with a few pre-programmed jump scares.

There is obvious room for implementing a randomization of jump scares, but I like how the came stands as casual and predictable after you experience all the game has to offer.

Overall: beautiful game. 8/10

A neat paintball game with simple and unique mechanics: like the dodge feature (very creative, dev).

Also there are a considerable amount of easter eggs and hidden mechanics within the game.
hint: remember elevators in MW2?
