Amazing game, lovely devs, and I have had so much fun playing it over remote play :)

Update: The update is SO good! The new game types are fantastic, and when my family are sick of toast, I now have AI to pretend that I have friends! :)

Also I spent 5 minutes reading the backstory of toasters. Excellent! :)

I loved the original games, and this makes me very happy - the battles I had getting the original games working on modern PCs is over! :) Plus the bonus features like the extra FMV sequences are brilliant, and it's in one package rather than a sprawling DLC fest. It has one issue where it lags sometimes, but the devs have noted it'll be fixed. I couldn't be happier. :)

Just bought and installed it. Facerig removed my webcam driver and replaced it with its own, now I can't use my webcam for anything and will have to spend a good amount of time trying to get my camera to work for a skype call later. Not recommended, I bought it as part of a Fanatical bundle, otherwise I'd definitely refund it.

This is fantastic, it's the best bits of Lego and Harry Potter. The game plays great and is very fluid, the comedy is on point, and it's very good at catching the gist of the story in the game. :) It's also amazing fun for playing on remote play, we're having a great time playing it together. :) Highly recommended.

Update: we've now played this game a lot more - it's still really good fun - a few bugs in it though, such as random crashing, and controllers being randomly unregistered (one player suddenly can't move), forcing us to go back to the main menu and into the game again to reset the controller issue... It's not ideal, but the game is still very fun and worth the work! :)

Best birthday present ever! This is the tale of holes and raccoons and doughnuts! :) It reminds me a lot of the Frog Detective games with the comedic story, delightful music and deliciously brilliant shenanigans that are part of role playing as a raccoon driving a hole in the ground. It's about 2 hours long but there's also achievements. Very recommended! :)

I'll preface this by expressing my love for all things Oddworld. The lore, the themes, everything in my opinion is so thoughtfully handled and lovingly put together. This game is of course a remake of Abe's Oddysee, one of my favourite games of all time.

To begin, the differences:
The movement is a little modernised - to be honest I had no bugbears with this, it needed doing and I got used to it very easily - dare I say maybe I would struggle to go back? :) It's a little more fluid, the default settings are to hop forward with the A or X button on controller, and the gamespeak is not just on the D pad anymore.

The graphics are generally utterly outstanding - only occasinally I have experienced issues with textures "fizzing" in the backgrounds which can be distracting, and there's the occasional freeze here and there which can be distracting (only game I have which does this, so I think it's sadly an issue with New and Tasty)... there's also an issue with PS4 controls not appearing on the hints - I'm greeted by a plain white box where the buttons should be.

That's all my issues with the game itself as a remake. Graphically as I say when it's firing on all cylinders it's phenomenal, but there are these problems that I've experienced which might be offputting for some players.

The gameplay itself... now that's held up astronomically well! :) That's where the magic is, and how I'm able to forget the stuttering here and there - the gameplay is pure magic and I have laughed at the ridiculousness of some of the puzzles until they click and I'm able to solve them (it's been a while, so my memory isn't great at how some of them play out- it's like having a new game!) :)

I wholeheartedly recommend New and Tasty and can't wait to see the next game - my faith in Oddworld is intact! :)

Ohhh it was good! It is a short game (1 hour), but the writing is really funny, the art is charming and I will definitely play it more times! :)

It is ideal - Garfield and racing is a great combination. I dislike the UFOs because they make me lose a bunch but that's because I am a scrub. Will do better. Recommend this game highly. :)

Absolutely recommended. I played the originals on PS1, and these are such faithful recreations of those games, with the magic that made them so special to me intact. Lovely graphics, same gameplay (although 1 is harder than I remember!) :) and the new levels are amazing, it feels like a lot of love went into this remake. :)
